I started my first serious facebook social ads campaign last night and had some questions for the people making good bank on facebook.

1. What do you consider a good CTR? I am not targeting via any keywords at all and I can see why that would cause a much lower CTR than keyword targeted, but I am only getting about .4% on most of my ads.

2. My CTR from landing page > offer page varies greatly between age groups/sex. I pretty much copied the offer's landing page, just replaced the form requesting their info to a button that says 'click here to sign up' which redirects them to the offer's lp that looks exactly the same. Any suggestions?

3. Out of a bunch of ads for the same campaign targeting different sexes and age groups, I am at a bit of a loss, but not much. Any easy ways to get that little bump that will help me at least get to the break even point, so I can continue to run the campaign and eventually lower my bids?

4. With every single ad (5 in total, all going to the same offer) I recieved my first conversion within the first 2-3 clicks. Since that first conversion, each ad has evened out to about 1:15-20. What's the deal with that?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions to any of the questions above.

.4% is amazing

How much are you paying per click?

Also, if you're doing .4% CTR, do the ad as a CPM ad, I guarantee* you'll get 10 cent clicks or under if you have your CTR at like 20 cents or 30 cents.

*I don't actually guarantee

It's actually .3% - .37% CTR between my 5 ads. I am paying $.40 per click on all of them, spent $50, made about $37 back.

Yeah, my goal is do to much larger volume I just havent been around much today so I haven't ran the campaign for more than an hour altogether. Any clue why I keep getting my first conversion within each sub-group within the first 2-3 clicks, and dont get a 2nd conversion until around the 25 click point?

Probably the network gave you one. I started a campaign on facebook and within seconds I had a conversion, but i never had any clicks (I put the bid at .01 so it wouldn't run) and my tracking didn't show a click either.

Well the thing is, for each ad I am using the same offer, just using different subIDs to track the age/gender where the traffic is coming from. If that was the case I could create 1 million subIDs and the network would owe me $5mil.

Sorry, but it doesn't work like that.

probably coincidence, thats the way it always seems to happen...but try my CPM ad thing I told you about, I bet you'll get really cheap clicks, and lots of volume

slowly lower your cpc and see how low your can go, with a good ctr (.4 is good) you should be able to lower your cpc a lot
