Unknown creature found by Russian soldiers

According to the bones and teeth – it is not a fish. According to its skeleton – it’s not a crocodile or alligator. It has a skin with hair or fur.

Lol gotta love the premise of this hoax... like the general public is supposed to know shit about species classes of every animal in the world.

When this did first come out... I caught myself thinking for a second there "well maybe it's a..."

What the fuck do I know about animals? I make websites..

I don't believe that's real!! There is no other life than on earth!

there are many planet in this universe which are similar to earth , most of people belive that
there are living creatures on other planets which are far from earth..

but you know, human are unable to withstand to live in the environment that is "similar" to the earth.Human need a place that exactly as the earth to start a living .

You need to really get some perspective of the size of the universe, if of course it's not infinite. Our galaxy in over 100,000 light years in size and that is 1 of around 100 billion galaxies.

If the chances of life (like ours) forming were only 1 in a trillion, they'd be billions of planets like ours and don't even begin to contemplate anything when talking of a universe of infinite size because probability goes out the window.

You also have to remember that evolution doesn't necessarily follow the same course as ours and also doesn't require the same conditions. We arrogantly believe certain conditions are necessary to support life, what we mean is, "support our life."

There are creatures on this planet (mainly under the sea) that live within conditions so far removed from what we see as capable of supporting life, we'd have stated, before discovering otherwise, nothing could survive there.

In all honesty we aren't really capable of fully understanding what would live elsewhere, with any certainty, based on our current paradigms and what we think we know.

do you think we are possibly evolved? what are we on later ages? an avatar?

To think right is we can't live even on moon, because our lack of power, endurance and ability etc. Furthermore, even moon doesn't accept us such a welcoming way.

Do I "think we are possibly evolved?" I don't think it's possible that we evolved, I know we evolved. It's a fact.

I'm not completely sure what else it is you're trying to say, but presume you're saying we can't inhabit the moon? Well of course we can't live on the moon, it has no atmosphere. (That we could live in anyway.)

And just to give you some perspective of size here, if you got a piece of paper and drew on it the earth, the size of a pea, just drawing our solar system as far as pluto would mean the paper is over 2km wide. (If drawn to scale.)

The distance from us to Pluto is one fifty thousandth of the way to the edge of our solar system. Meaning the paper would have to be at least 100,000km wide with the earth being the size of a pea and at one edge.

Also using old estimates on the probability of other planets supporting life, the smallest distance between these planets would be 200 light years. Or 1,173,000,000,000,000 miles. Or 148,068,669,527 laps around the earth. Or 2,455,444,052 trips to the moon and back... Therefore we'd likely never see them anyway. :)

This post sent me on a random chase to try and think of a word that was on the tip of my brain. Thanks for wasting 10 minutes of my morning :) Extremophile. Mystery solved.

No it's a theory....

FACT != THEORY

Just because there is overwhelming evidence of the theory, it's still just a theory.

No it's a theory....
FACT != THEORY

Anything that makes it to the real scientifically correct categorization of theory is fact. Gravity is a fact. Evolution is a fact. Magnetism is a fact.

These are also all theories.

Using an equals is disingenuous. Something Venn diagram-ish would be more appropriate.

Gravity is just a theory too....called the theory of gravity....if you don't believe in gravity then...well...yeah.

Well while I was just fucking around... But gravity is even better than the theory of evolution. Go do some reading and you will hopefully understand how little we know of gravity.

Honestly we know very little of the theory of evolution as well... It's conjecture based on the semi-proven theory of natural selection.

That doesn't cover big changes - ie how a fish developed different lungs in a plausible manner. Even hard core believers struggle to explain certain things.

Neither has a proof... they are theories and both need further understanding and study. You may find in your lifetime that gravity as we were taught in school was baloney.

Natural selection is pretty evident. We can see it happening now. The big changes we still don't know shit about beyond "it probably happens this way".

Yes gravity is real. Yes evolution is real.

They are theories because we are still ignorant...... and until there is a proof one should keep an open mind.
