I am basically putting this in the "shooting the shit" section because I juts have to vent about how shitty I am at this.

So I got this arbitrage thing going and well... I just have to ask if this is normal...

a) Traffic from 7Search BLOWS... why? Cause I ain't getting none. Even traffic equals 0. Using the same KW lists as on searchfeed - nothing. Anyone got pointers on this? Am I missing something?

b) CTR is up and down like a whore's knickers. Last sunday I changed my template. I am doing better now, BUT...this is the last 7 days:
19.05%, 41.67%, 0%, 0%, 52.94%, 33.33%, and today 0% Needless to say, those crappy days are killing my profits.

Is THAT normal? Does it even out with more sites?

argh...

How many should I be submitting?

Right now about 100.

Yeah that's weird...I always get a consistent CTR but traffic does go up and down. It definitely depends on finding the right niche and adding as many keywords as possible. The limit on 7search accounts is 10,000 keywords but it's easy to get more accounts.

yeah, 100 keywords is a little low.
I try to get at least 500, unless a few of them have over 100k searches/mo

When you guys talk about search numbers, you are referring to google's search numbers right? Because 7search search numbers are shit.

Ditto on 7search traffic

I have 3 campaigns with 250 keywords each and get like 1 click a day if I'm lucky. AND one of the campaigns is for a VERY general keyword. I can't get any luck (or don't have any skill) with these cheap traffic systems

I speculate on 7search that you can have huge traffic variations because the sources of traffic can change sometimes. I don't know how accurate it is, but I have had goldmines disappear in a day, and I suspect it is simply because a site or two changed their configuration lost their traffic or any number of other things.

OK... now my definition of "niche" goes somewhere along the line of "very narrow, very focused area of interest" which would kinda cut against "LOADS of keywords"

So how do you arrive at those figures?

Do you use duplicated like

pamela anderson
"pamela anderson"
[pamela anderson]

and the like? as I have seen in some screenshot of some weird keyword tool?

And ...

should one use those?

This didn't even start to answer any of my questions.

But, thanks for playing. :anon.sml:

I think the issue with 7 search is the quality of traffic that comes from the different affiliates. It's hard to figure out sometimes if it's your ad, your layout, or traffic issues with an affiliate.

Lets say you bid on the word "mouse" . Distributor #2 will give you 5th spot for 0.06. Distributor 5 and 6 give you top spot for that same price. You might have a great page layout, and great ctr from distributor 2, but distributor 5 and 6 just have shitty traffic and almost never convert. But your paying 5 and 6 just as much per click as number 2. As for the "other" category. Some of the traffic sources are really shitty, I had close to 20 clicks from www.acnecrap.com to one of my new pages, 0 converted so far. (I don't have any pages about cars, skin care, or acne). Per day close to 50% of the traffic I buy from 7search doesn't even register an impression with adsense!!!

I realize this isn't quality traffic that you get from the big 3.
