I'm gonna be seeing a bunch of the bands on this page on one bill in Germany in August later this year.

If you're into metal to HAVE TO make it to Wacken at least once in your life... it's like Muslims having to go to Mecca.

The lineup isn't finalised yet but confirmed so far ar Iron Maiden (headliners), WASP, Motley Crue, Alice Cooper, Raven, Slayer,VoiVod, Overkill and about 70 others so far (Check out the full line up so far)

There are 4 stages and the festival is 3 days long. There is always at least one top band playing on one of the stages at any given time and sometimes 2 or 3 at the same time so you have to make some heartbreaking descissions about who ya gonna watch. Yes - there are a few "un head ofs", but most of the bands have some sort on international following so there's no real shite.

Tickets are only 120 Euros (when the full lineup is finalised that works out to about 1 or 2 Euros per band!) fully inclusive of entrance, camp site etc... it's practically free so you will be able to afford a LOT of beer... and German beer is goooood!

I was over there in 2002 and I'm super hyped to go again - it's the biggest metal party in the world!! \m/
 
Would love to do Wacken sometime, although I'm doing Donnington for the third time this year.

ACDC, Aerosmith, Rage, Megadeth, Motorhead and plenty more to come.
