Up To 45K To Spend On Car: What to Get?

Fuck you can get a 355 for 45k in USA? If prices are like that I would consider maybe a early 2000's Porsche 911 GT2/GT3, Aston Martin, oldish Lambo and thats about as "exotic baller" I can think of.

Cars are 100% more expensive where I live and a car like that would set you back $100k easy. The dollar is practically the same.

$45k here would only get you a used Lexus IS350 or used mid range BMW. Lambos are also $300+k and Rolls Royces are about 700k-1 million brand new.

thats still cheap. BMW here are above $300K and those pathetic KIA cars sell above $75K. Worst market for car buyers = Singapore

You could get a jeep, a car, a sport bike, and a boat all for 45k, and be more happy with your purchases than with a single overpriced ride.

Explain how he could do this and not have a piece of shit jeep, a piece of shit car, (bikes aren't expensive), and a piece of shit boat? Anything high quality or high performance is going to be expensive, not necessarily overpriced.

Lightly Used Corvette.

Closest thing you can get to a super car for the price.

They have good performance, but they're the Honda Accord of sports cars--you see them everywhere and they're not unique or impressive to see on the road.

I've got 2 boats, and one of them is a used 1995 Suntracker 24' pontoon with a 115hp merc motor ( new ). The boat is in PERFECT condition ( no rips/tears, no fading, etc ) and I paid $5k for it ( was $4.5k, but I had to buy a trailer for it ). You can ski and tube on it and is big enough to have parties on all summer long. We have this in our marina right now.

You can get a 2003 Honda Accord with 80k miles as a daily driver for less about $11k

Grab a used 2006 Honda CBR600 with 3k miles for $5500 on eBay.

Thats a total of $21,500, which is $23,500 left over for a base model 2011 Jeep Wrangler ( $22k ), or you can get one used thats decked out.

Not saying this is what I would personally do, even though I agree he could do it. Just saying it CAN be done.

Jeep = all weekend fun offroading
Boat = all summer fun and can be pulled by Jeep
Bike = do I really need to spell out the fun on this?
Accord = long lasting, good on gas, not really fun though

^Wow, that's way cheaper for a boat than I thought. I didn't think a pontoon boat went fast enough to ski or really have fun tubing. My impression of boats was Bust Out Another Thousand, and I hadn't seen a decent used power boat for under $20k.

Only issue with your other choices is that he's already got an SUV for a daily driver, so he just needs a fun status symbol car. Jeep isn't going to do that. But A for effort and definitely an option for someone out there.

Sometimes certain things just are not about money. Sure cars are a terrible, depreciating asset and we all get where many of you are coming from.....

Spending big money on nice cars is a complete waste and a terrible investment.

But simple fact of that matter is that money, investing, appreciation, blah blah blah, isnt ALWAYS everything.

Sometimes you just have to live life a little. Sure you may regret the money that gets wasted....but same goes for buying a boat(which usually equals constantly flushing money down the toilet)

That feeling that a sexy car gives you...the stares people give as you drive by...and the feeling of pure power is far worth the money that is being essentially tossed away.

If you have the money that is....

This is definitely the best way to spend 45k that's been suggested so far. In my opinion of course.

Just so you know, your dick stays the same size contrary to popular belief. Sorry to bust OP's or other posters' bubbles.

ahhh yes. Physically and technically the penor stays the same size.

However....being tiny in that department essentially becomes null and void, as the power and success you exude more than makes up for it.

(Although if this is truly a concern, I can certainly take care of the tiny penor problem for far less than 45k. I wont even rebill you.........ok maybe just one rebill)

Yeah, I've been on a pontoon with a 220hp on it and I have seen a couple with twin 220's on it down in the gulf.

The 115 is just big enough in open water to ski with and pull a tube with at a fun clip. You can board on it as well, but its not as much wicked fun boarding on it as it would a inboard or larger outboard, but we have done it.

I like the pontoons b/c I have kids and I like to entertain people as well. I also like to fish and do other things the pontoon was just the right solution for all of that. If I would have gotten a jetboat, cabin cruiser or even a deck boat I would have had to sacrifice a few of those things.

Can somebody explain what the point is in owning a really fast super car?

Do you take it to the track? It's not like you're going to drive it any differently than a pedestrian car on regular roads.

I'd rather drive something that says you've got both money and sense. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the price of one's car was inversely proportional to how much money they had.

Shit, I'd rather drive an efficient car that will last forever, and save my money to eventually buy a yacht. While you guys are dinking around in your ghey supercars, I'm gonna be on a fucking boat.

I can answer this question in excruciating detail. But I won't.

Suffice it to say you either love to drive and consider a car to be The Ultimate Toy. Or you think of it as transportation.

In the right hands a super quick street car with great brakes is fairly entertaining.

But just keep in mind what happen to that dude from jackass. A street car is not built for high speed crashes -- your courting instant death.

Danke you want a real ass kickin ride thats safe, affordable, turns heads and is race tested go to Factory Five.... http://www.factoryfive.com/

I know what you mean -- I have a porsche 911 and a sweet drug dealer QX56 and my dick is only about 4 inches -- but most women like it that thick!!.....:love-smiley-013:

Can I get someone with more knowledge than I (which is not saying much at all in terms of cars) to offer up an opinion on this?

Taking it for a test drive soon and am very very very tempted SLASH in love with it already.

Am I crazy?

Used 1999 Chevrolet Corvette 650 HP LAMBORGHINI DOORS SUPER CHARGED For Sale | LANGLEY TWP BC .

Don't do it. I have owned may fully built cars and they WILL break. Any time you tear down a motor and build it for high horsepower things will break regardless of how well it's built. If you still like it be prepared to pay for expensive repairs like motor tear downs and transmission repairs.

Not to mention the lambo doors and interior look like crap.

Only other thing worth mentioning is that I was speaking with the dealership and they are willing to include an upgrade to a 3 year warranty.

This would not be for daily use....a sunday car every now and then.
