Seriously, do you actually have issues with it? I find I've got no issues driving on the right side of the road unless I'm in one of those crazy down-and-to-the-side stick shifts, instead of the 6 point manual.
Although roundabouts get me sometimes. I forget that I need to give way on the left, not the right.

I've navigated my way through just about every major US city with no problems so I'm sure I can handle it. I'll bet the right turns would mess me up for a while though.
 
I was with my mom the first time she drove on the left side of the road. It was also the first time she drove around a circus. (Newton Circus)

I thought we were going to die.
 
After living in the UK for a couple of years, I found it was the switching back to driving on the right that messed with my brain. Damned near had a head-on a couple of times my first month back.

HarveyJ: Some do, that's true. I don't date that kind of needy wackjob. On the plus side, that leaves more for LoZ :D
 
You men like to think that it's the women that are crazy. I remember a time in my dating life where I realized that the men I picked where addicted to drama and they would actually perpetuate (subconscious or not) the wild relationship highs and lows. I finally had to pull a Mary J Blige and say no more. Once I consciously screened for guys that weren't addicted to the drama everything else fell into place.

So basically modern day blacks should be happy that slavery existed because it delivered them from a famine and disease infested Africa?

Forget that the original forefathers that make up nationalitites of all kind, immigrated to America under their own free will. Forget that over 100 million Africans died during 4 centuries of the middle passage, forget that Africans were stripped of their dignity, names, and humanity and treated worse than dogs, then had to endure decades of institutional racism, all so we could get where we are today.

You did a great job of trivializing one of the great atrocities in the history of mankind, but that's ok because blacks can live in big houses and drive cars with spinning rims.

Many are just taking Holders comments the wrong way, and perhaps his use of words were wrong. The intention of the message was right, the reason why there isn't any meaningful discussions on race is because of the shame that has to be confronted on both sides of the equation. But no one can deny the evolution of race relations in America, and how far this country has moved forward. But you can't move forward without acknowledging the misdeeds of the past, you can't put your head in the sand and think their isn't some residual effect in the black community from the stains of slavery and Jim Crow.

But there has to be credible discussion on both sides to move forward, and not the same asshole cliches. Like young blacks saying "the man" is holding me down, or whites saying "just get over it" when it comes to slavery and racism. Racism is no longer the prevalent issue it was decades ago, but there still has to be open and truthful discussions moving forward to ensure the evolution doesn't stop.

Gimmie a break, your complaining about black history month and BET? Check the school curricullum where it's black history month, and white history year. Check just about every television station on TV and you'll see programming showing whites in a positive light. Don't give me that shit about white people don't get any of that shit, the reason why BET or black history month was created was because of the paucity of blacks in mainstream society. What do you want a WET channel? Check ABC, NBC, CBS, or FOX. Would you like a White History Month? Check every month in the calendar school year with the exception of February.

Check your facts and history before you start crying a river.

Sounds like someone's got a chip on their shoulder.

Why don't you just watch AET and drop all race oriented shows period. Better yet, turn off the fucking tube and question why we don't have Mexican history month seeing they are the only ones working their ass off here in the US these days ... and why my daughter didn't get off school to celebrate President's Day or Gandhi Day but sure as shit got for MLKj day.

These are the real barriers to truly breaking racist ties ... and it's not a black / white thing. It's impossible to be equal when you want special treatment.

That is, black people are the racists ones. Period. I went to a private highschool, with about 5 black kids. All of them got to go for free, just so the school could say that black people went there. Wanna know something about them? They were all fucking asshole dicks. "It's because I'm black" was pulled often. They all get their entire tuition paid for, ALONG with their food. Mind you this was not a public school. It pissed everyone off because this wasn't a rich private school, it is the cheapest in the city, and some white kids were prolly poorer than the black ones and they didn't get free shit.

And I also agree with the other dudes saying white people get called crackers alot. Its like black people automatically think all white people are related to a police officer somehow. They need to let that shit go, I am sick of hearing it. Black people are the racist ones. I never once heard a black kid get called you know what, ever. I've heard black people call white guys crackers all day, in school, and no one gave a shit.

Just playing devil's advocate, but...

Forget that it nearly all African slaves were sold into slavery by other Africans. Most of the time by competing tribes/clans but many times by those in their own communities and even family.


Ah, shit. Know what? Forget I said that (even though its correct). I'd rather rip out a fingernail than engage in these kinds of endless, pointless discussions where absolutely nothing gets accomplished. But it seems like lots of people actually feed off of them.
