Wow!
What an amazing story. But what do you think their angle is? To be caught?
Or do you think they plan on monotinizing it?

An update.

" The latest confession to stun the entertainment world is an unusual one: "We are filmmakers."

The team behind the lonelygirl15 YouTube mystery has come forward, claiming that lonelygirl15 is part of their "show" and thanking their fans effusively for tuning in to "the birth of a new art form." They are not, they insisted, "a big corporation."

The rest of the arctle can be read here http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/la-et-lonelygirl9sep09,0,5768755.story?coll=la-headlines-entnews

Will be interesting to see where this leads, and if now there secret is out if people will still keep watching the videos. Was a good idea i wonder if it will pay of now

Um, did anyone really doubt the lonelygirl vids were anything BUT a set up?

Jesus, people are gullible sometimes.

thanks for that AFTER they already admitted to making the fake vids... people actually do this for real too just so you know

Well, she is definitely cute as hell, there's no denying that, and it seems they've just pioneered a new form of TV entertainment, so I'm a fan of it already. The question now.. how to monetize this project. Hopefully they'll find WickedFire and come here for advice! ;)

People who do it for real generally don't look like underpaid, bad actors. Did you see a vid of her "friend". It was an ongoing, transparent soap opera.

But I'll admit, it took me at least 30 seconds to figure that one out.

Check out the comments to her videos. Despite the fallout from this lonelygirl campaign, this is probably a good method for promoting a) webcam girls b) dating sites c) bands and music
