You think people are impressed because it's 2 girls pooping? Or maybe it's because the site was a huge viral marketing success? I saw the 2girls1cup video a month before the site was made and didn't think to do something on that scale, they really blew it up into an internet phenomenon that tons of people across the U.S. recognize or know and that's impressive. I had friends and cousins emailing me that site daily.

Anyone who can read can see it was a success, I guess it's just the mentality of the individual... I don't make money worrying about views (I'm an advertiser) so it's probably much more amazing to people that are driving tonnes of traffic to their sites daily. To me it's just fucking weird.

And do you understand my point that people here at the forum are for the most part impressed because the site was a marketing success, not because it was girls pooping into a cup (even though we all like that too). The girls pooping into the cup is not the impressive part. So your statement earlier that the "people at this forum would be impressed..." is kind of like saying the sky is blue. Of course people at an affiliate marketing/internet marketing forum are going to be impressed at a hugely successful marketed single video site.

It's obvious to see why people are impressed by the numbers, but that doesn't mean everyone would do it that way.

OP, if there was a point to this thread it has been lost.
It was pretty weird at first when people would watch it and I'd be around. I got superlax with it after the John Mayer video. I still to this day am sort of picky as to who to tell but most of the time I'm just amazed at what the power of word of mouth can have on something. We did absolutely zero advertising campaigns, it was all via word of mouth. :bowdown:
