welcome to america.
i'm genuinely shocked at all the shock-edness lately.

keep your ear to the ground for more wtfuckery coming soon.

but bear in mind:
there's not a damn thing you can do about it.

because you, yes you, taxpayer.
you, voter.

citizen, you have allowed this to happen.
yes, i mean you.

you, who have consistently traded your freedoms away for comfort, a sense of security, and fleeting tastes of prosperity.
you, who stand idly by as your elected representatives chip away at the idea of a true republic, a true democracy, and the true american way.

you, kind citizen, have allowed all of this to happen by being fooled into believing -- truly believing -- that all of the problems bringing our country to its knees can be resolved by holding others accountable for the mess we're in.

manipulative, greedy, power-hungry men and women that lead our nation aren't the problem.
the commoditization of human life in pursuit of monetary growth isn't the problem.
big business and corporate-funded politics aren't the problem.

no.
you are the problem.

so. you know what?
fuck you.

fuck you, for being so goddamn apathetic to your fellow man. fuck you for being so blind to history repeating itself over, and over again. fuck you for being stupid enough to be lulled into sleep every four years by the political theater. fuck you for being too weak to stand up as an individual and take responsibility for what has happened to us.

and most of all, fuck you for being conditioned into believing that you're accomplishing something by bitching about our country's problems. fuck you for thinking that you're making a difference by spreading the word about the evils of our government. fuck you for letting the corruption continue for so long that short of revolution there is no changing course from where we are heading as a nation. fuck you. you're the reason my vote doesn't matter anymore.

fuck you all.
and fuck me too.

People in america need to kick off isntead of sitting here and accepting this shit.

This is YOUR country, not the governments.

all of the extra concessions to this bill are evidence of whats wrong with america.

You are absolutely wrong that WE have let this happen. WE have elected these officials to work for us. Those that voted no have heard us well. They will be re-elected. Those that voted no will be kicked out of office for 2009. WE have written and phoned our representatives. We have called them incessantly and have voiced our outrage to media outlets such as CNN. Unfortunately WE have just awoken to the political turmoil that threatens the very fabric of our freedom from tyranny. WE did not realize that this bill was attached to an "Energy Bill" so that it could get passage in the Senate.
+1 for Bush
WE also did not realize how deeply indebted our elected officials are bribed by Wall Street tycoons. Therefore a lot of money was lost and a "reality shock" hit the public.
+1 for Bush
WE also did not show financial discipline to avoid this "disaster". Even if every American only saved 10% of their paycheck each month, we would have survived a Dow Jone decline. HOW MUCH DO AMERICANS REALLY SAVE? | National Center for Policy Analysis
+1 for Bush
This in turn increase phone calls to House Representatives to pass the bill.
+1 for Bush.

Now that WE are awakening from our slumber. WE will continue to keep a watchful eye on Washington. WE will also start to accumulate a 6-month emergency fund for future scares. WE have learned and grown. No f**k you to anyone. WE the people will rally ourselves to stop atrocious government spending. WE will also increase our knowledge through reading instead of Dateline and 20/20. WE will remain firm and resolute to our cause. An America that is not run by tyrant or dictators on Wall Street or anywhere else in the world. WE the people will thrive!

i'd like to take this moment of clarity to retract any and all statements i've made above. business as usual is great, in fact without playing into the status quo i wouldn't be where i am today.

my success is directly attributable to being a card-carrying capitalist and playing by the rules thereof -- i seem to forget that when i've been drinking and my supressed rebellious nature rears its ugly head.

in no way should my above statements be construed as a personal attack, dissent, and/or support of revolution. i've grown accustomed to my large bank accounts and materialistic goods, and am honestly happy with the way things are in addition to the way things are headed.

my business endeavors have assured the success and prosperity of myself and my loved ones, and barring some freak relapse into alcoholism i would never jeopardize that by rocking the boat and/or upsetting the powers that be. i love big brother. thank you for all you've provided, and thank you for the opportunity to live comfortably in a world where comfort is one of the most precious commodities in existence.
