And thats some solid advice erect. I've thought about finding another place to work, but I love the environment, the management, and the other people working there. Its so fucking chill, but when it gets busy people work hard. And its a lot more laid back, definitely not a 'corporate' style restaurant.

And delivering pizzas would be the shit. I enjoy driving. I'd just :rasta:, listen to some good music, and drivveeee. But I don't know if it'd be a good idea putting all of those miles on my car.

Fuck, these are some pretty hard decisions...

Fun restaurants to work at are a dime a dozen. It's not really a hard decision to choose better money over people ... you can take people with you. Cash is why we all work so just start looking because you are not making retirement money here.

You need something you can work 2-3 days/week at to get through college. $1200/M is way under the poverty line, no place for a college kid hanging out at WF to be. You're better than that.

NEVER DO CORPORATE RESTAURANTS !!!

Been in that situation myself... how assisting are you parents?

For example, if you get in a jam would they help cover some of your bills for a month or so? Need to know all of your options bud, I just went through this myself.

left home @ 19, moved to a new country. I spent 7 year living like shit. junk food every day and my house is a mess

going to move back next few month @ age 26..life is much better and easier w/ a mom who cook, clean and provide free housing lol
 
I'll tell you what, you won't be any different than 99% of other college students around there. I guess you could say - that's half the fun of going to college is being broke off your ass, finding booze to drink, somehow passing your classes, and scoring. Yes it can, and WILL get stressfully. But hell kick back and just do it, because believe me you'll never forget those days. It also will better adapt you for when your really all on your own after college.
 
My suggestion: Take out a student load for your tuition, and pay a small monthly payment. OR --

Save some money and pay your first couple months of rent in advance. :D

I was 18 when I moved out, and I made $9.00 an hour with a local bank. I lived off of Top Ramen and Miller High Life. Then eventually I moved up, now at 20 I have a 3 bedroom house, 2 cars, a quad, a collection of classic muscle cars and everything my little heart desires (which isn't much).

Fuck, meant to type 130*. And I'm 5'7". "you need to eat" blah blah no shit I just don't put on weight. Worked out for a few months straight ate more than I could stomach worth of eggs, tuna, chicken, shakes, gained nothing. But thats for a different thread.

Well I'm going to start looking for another job, and see what I can find. And the general consensus is that I should just gtfo and try it?
 
I got my first apartment a little more than 2 years ago making ~$1,000/month, although back then I didn't have a car to worry about. It's entirely doable, but let me give you just one piece of advice:

Don't use your credit card for anything. Except maybe bills. Use cash for everything you can. Trust me, you'll save yourself a lot of grief.
