This movie blew me away, the trailer did it absolutely no justice whatsoever. Watch it, even if you don't like MMA.

I'm glad I didn't watch the trailer first, it looks awful from the trailer. I really enjoyed it, I think some of the military stuff was a bit played out/could have been restructured into a better sub plot but I can see why they did it.

Great movie, no idea why it did so poorly (although cinderella man was equally as good and it also did shit house at the box office). Also mad props to my aussie boy Joel Edgerton doing work in hollywood.

It's a more intense version of The Fighter, imo. It's definitely awesome and I really got into it, but I feel that the story line could have been done better.

You're right, Cinderella Man was a GREAT flick! I would have never watched it if it weren't an in-flight movie, but I was really glad I did! Awesome film.

I saw this when it first came out. Definitely one of the best of movies of the year.

warrior > the fighter

i felt the movie was just bad. the whole plot was just too obvious and the ending was plain stupid. (not to mention the movie also had a gay scene)

good movie, but the ending is weird, *SPOILER ALERT*

at the end of the movie am I the only one who thought of the widow who got nothing... also why did he tap? didn't seem like he was looking for his brother's love the whole time. I don't know may be that shit's too deep for me. Still prefer "the fighter" or "cinderella man"

Didn't really like it, but that's probably because I watched a CAM version.

*SPOILER*

The whole movie kind of surrounded the grudge the brothers held for each other and for their dad. Him tapping at the end like that kind of signified the end of the grudge, they settled their score and became brothers again. While he was chocking him out, all he was saying was that he loved him. The younger brother was kind of broken, but you could tell that his family still meant something to him, especially after the compassion he showed for the dad after he broke down and got drunk in the hotel room.. As for the widow, I just assumed that the older brother would help her out, I mean it's 5 mil so... but you are right they could have wrapped that part up a bit better... that being said, I think the way they ended the movie with them walking out of the cage together was really powerful.
