Hey SEO Mike,
I was gonna say what Copeac Mike mentioned.
In addition if you trawl around the net, there're SEO's charging $400/page for "SEO Optimization". Apart from the H1s, H2s and meta tags and content tweaking, I'm not sure that they're doing a heck of a lot more. It could be good for generating some cashflow.
It's also worth looking at your next steps going forward.
I'd usually focus on what type of results I want to achieve, develop a plan of action, implement it and so far it's worked out pretty well for me.
Here're some ideas:
During ASW, I was talking to some merchants who were pretty clueless about affiliate marketing. I gave them some basic info about the dynamics of affiliate marketing, the range of AM networks out there, the pros and cons of each, gave them some suggestions to evalute each network. If I'd wanted to, they've had been primed for a consultation in the mid $x,xxx to lower $xx,xxx range.
If that's something you might be interested in, you could easily pull some IDC/Gartner data, figure out some USPs, do up an info pack or PDF report and shoot it off to some largish merchants who don't have affiliate progs yet.
Especially if they see a risk-reward benefit, you'd be able to close it.
You might even be able to work with one of the aff networks on this

second, judging by the number of newbie posts on this board and others, there's a big gap in AM knowledge for newbies.
You've been doing well with your SEO posts, maybe you can work out an angle to recruit sub-affiliates more aggressively.
Doing up a 10-20page PDF giving an intro to AM, or even going down the ebook scum route to sell something, embedded with your AM network recruitment links can yield some results.
Failing which you can easily use camtasia, or do up some podcasts/teleseminars to provide AM training.
---
Whatever you do going forward, I guess the most important thing is to focus on one or a maximum of two things.
obviously if you take on big SEO work, it's going to detract from building your own AM empire, and unless there's profit share/equity in your SEO projects, it's just another form of a job.
I'd say get your AM stuff campaigns generating about $2-3k each and you'd have time to figure out what you want to do next.
Mike $95 a day should be easy to profit. Let me know what i can help out with. I am sure anyone else on this board will help as well. If you want to sell your SEO services try signing up to places like guru.com (I think thats the site) we had an asshat working for us who thought buying SEO services was smart and he pointed that site out to me, so maybe you will find other asshats who are willing to drop money on SEO. You should be able to charge 2-3K per month for the work. But honestly if i was you i would devote the time to my own SEO for my affiliate stuff in addition to the other methods you can use in AM.
Fuck your former employer they only held you back, in a few months you'll be thankful that they set you free.
My second cousin used to work for my grandfather, my grandfather fired him because he sucked. Well he ended up marrying the daughter of the man who owns Phillips 66 Petroleum. Needless to say the guy is filthy rich and wouldn't be so if he didn't get fired. I hope the same happens to you
