Since I don't know what to do with this site I am going to let WF members decide, vote in the pole

Some stats:
10-15K uniques/month
ranks well for keywords for a couple days then drops
lots of Google image traffic

makes about $1/day via adsense

i'd say advertise the hell out of it. get lots of content(stuff more will it blends on it)
buy a homepage link from my 2k uniques a day site, and then submit it to stumbeupon or something?, and get round corners at the corners of your site

and ye, it took about a minut to load the darn site;x

It is a very nice site. I would remove about 10 of the more trivial categories and put the remaining categories in large font at the top of the site so it is more userfriendly.

The loading time was temporary, I think....

I have submitted to SU, used to bring in some traffic but not much nowadays, its been dugg a few times and reddited as well. I'll look into round corners but we'll see how the poll goes.

Where do you get the most traffic from ?

Here's 2 quick suggestions:

1. Check out the adsense positioning on a nothingtoxic video page.

With your traffic, you could be getting some $10 daily if you use that same approach on both your main page and your entry pages.

2. If you're not using technorati tags, you should - it takes only a few seconds to add tags to your posts and you'll get some additional traffic that way.

look beyond adsense and do some affiliate marketing - free downloads, entertainment related etc. maybe something in the sidebar with some text and a little graphic that doesn't look like an ad.

MisterX thanks for the suggestions, I added technorati tags tonight and will do some work on the ad placement tomorrow. Getting it to around $10/day for this site would be nice.

Monetizing any site is easy once you understand the traffic picture.

Look at your awstats or mybloglog logs. see where the traffic is coming from.
You can focus on those or open up new traffic sources.

Going by the video content, it looks like the audience might be males aged 13 to 25?

I agree that CPA or aff mktg would give a higher return, esp if you had offers that catered to that market.

the ipod offers would be good. electronics, software, computers.ebay auction system should be decent too.
or something related to that market.

If it were my site, I'd go with CPA offers that start at min of $5/lead and ideally at $10-20 range.

Even at optimistic $0.50 per adsense CTR, i think it'd be too much effort for too low a return.

The other thing is you could go to amazon and look for gadget type stuff that your audience might like. prob in the $20-50 range (more for the 18-25 year olds). things like motorola walkie talkies, LED torches, thumb drives, that kinda thing.
