WF should be private

You were being sarcastic, right?
well maybe i should have said "wouldn't have become a problem as quickly". seems like every time something like that becomes popular, everyone and their brother comes on here blabbering about their review pages and promotional methods. newbies jump in, ask how this and that method works, drive up bid prices all over the place, etc. people who know about affiliate marketing don't need forums to find what works.

Horrible idea IMO, if you guys don't want attention then just be compliant and you'll have nothing to worry about. :2twocents:

Tell you what maybe you just keep your mouth shut in future.

Lol right, I bet it would be completely impossible for any agent to get access if it went private...

Asshole: "Hey dude, I'll paypal you $5 if you invite me!"
NoobJohnChow: "Fuck yeah I'm finally starting to bank!!!"

By the way what would be the strategy to transferring the current users to the new system? Having Jon call everyone up in person and ask for references? LOLZ

Just think of all those FBI and FCC agents who must be getting dickrolled all the time. It's so worth it. And you said "most" of us do legit stuff on these forums.. Why the fuck should we change for the minority?

i was debating whether to create this exact thread.

the question i ask myself is this: does a public WF do more harm than good?

sounds like paranoia is reaching new heights here.... WF is *not* the problem. if someone is doing something they need to hide maybe they should not be posting on a public forum.

There's been some discussion about making the Premium Business section free & invite-only. Members would be able to invite other members, but invites would be limited to one per month and only established members would be able to send them out.
The section could be used for sensitive topics that you wouldn't want out in the open.

Guys- in light of recent legal and other activities brought to light regarding AM..it seems to me that possibly Wickedfire should become a private, invite only forum and no index format. Undoubtedly, legal entities and others use this forum for info gathering, and although most of us are legit and conduct business in an ethical and legal manner, some do not, and the image that seems to be transpiring is one that isnt going in a positive direction. Internet marketing is NOT an evil business as some seem to be trying to portray..

Thoughts..?

I completely agree

Heres how it should be, private site, invite only, or you can be tested and get in.

When i was applying for What.CD i was required to be interviewed and answer questions about various audio formats. Maybe we should have IRC where members with invites can quiz other members and weed them out and only let the ones who know wtf their talking about in.

We should do that...imagine the dickrolling possibilities!
