What are Affiliates biggest concerns with programs?

In response to you statement that my original post does not make sense; apparently we are have a communication breakdown. I have already aphorized for the color and have corrected that problem. I would gladly change the font if I knew how but I am obviously not that great with a computer. Basically I have a product which I hope to be marketable in the near future and was considering an affiliate program as means. I was simply trying to find out what Affiliates concerns were regarding a legitimate program. In reference to the inquire it seems that cookie duration is a problem so I opted for a lifetime cookie, Also as a safe guard I proposed a promotional id that would also be the affiliate id that a consumer would have to give in order to receive at a free gift. Hoping this would insure proper commissions. Furthermore, I understand that repeat sales has been a problem, so I suggested a database where purchasers information would be stored so any future sales would be credited to the proper affiliate. Also, it is my understanding that affiliates feel that their hand have been tied regarding only using the merchants methods of promotion whereas my only concern is that they could use any promotion as long as it is a legal method within the United States. Lastly it seems that many programs have an at will termination so the Merchant could terminate if it felt it had significant name recognition whereas I proposed that the termination could only occur for good cause. (ie. Illegal promotional materials) I was just curious if there were other concerns as affiliates that I had overlooked that I should incorporate to be fair.

Honestly get a product up and running before you come here, WickedFire is not known to be helpful to newbies, most of us already know what we are doing and we are probably the least friendly community you will find anywhere for that kind of thing. WickedFire members are the market leaders.

DigitalPoint or WarriorForum have more people and are more open to this sort of thing so I would start by going there, once you know what you are doing and have some expereince maybe then will be a good time to come back here and discuss it.

Thank you for your candor and I will adhere your advice. However, I must say the banter has been fun, although as professionals in you field I can appreciate your impatience. If however if anyone sees fit to comment on my proposal I will be checking back and respect your opinions. Which hopefully will be beneficial to not only myself but all involved.
Again many thanks and sorry for the font
Jason

Actually, I was hoping to make it a bit bigger. But if you could tell me how to male it smaller I will maybe with knowledge also be able to make it bigger for people like me who don’t see that well. I was just proud that I could make it white.

s-squirt - I apologize for the rudeness of some of the members here, but really, you give us no information. I am going to answer your question the best I can with limited information about your product

what REAL affiliates care about is EPC and ROI - you can kinda control EPC
EPC = Earnings per Click. This should be at least $4-$5..

The first way to get good EPC is to have a well designed lander like this one from the StomperNet Guys

What I recommend is to set up a rebill system on your product. Where you give it to your customers for free and charge them like $1 for shipping. Then what you do is lock their creditcard into a recurring billing cycle and even better sign them up for more subscriptions that they never knew about but were burried in your Terms, so legally they agreed

In this way you can offer your affilaites a standard $40 payout per sale, up to $50 for the bigger playerz. Now a good conversion ratio is 1/10 which will give your affilaite an average of $4-5 EPC which will make most people happy.

But to get this conversion ratio you need a great lander like Stompernet, and need to have things like a talking person, fake questions and of course an exit blocker.

I hope that answers your questions.

Thanks for visiting our little forum

esquirt:

15% is a fucking weak commission for the most valuable people in your company (i.e. the marketers getting you sales to begin with). And also, you clearly don't know how to work the internet, so I doubt you will be able to make it work for you.

15% is weak, but the overall plan allocates 25% towards commissions based on a three tier MMl plan. Maybe this is a bad idea and would be better of just using a flat 25% for direct sales. Just an Idea that I thought could use some feedback. As far as more information I have never used this type of marketing so I am not sure what to provide so that a business plan can be developed that would benefit both myself and affiliates alike. It is true that I am no wiz with the net. I am however not bad in my area of development and design. Once I have acquired the information to develop a basic business model I will then get help me with implementation.
