In response to you statement that my original post does not make sense; apparently we are have a communication breakdown. I have already aphorized for the color and have corrected that problem. I would gladly change the font if I knew how but I am obviously not that great with a computer. Basically I have a product which I hope to be marketable in the near future and was considering an affiliate program as means. I was simply trying to find out what Affiliates concerns were regarding a legitimate program. In reference to the inquire it seems that cookie duration is a problem so I opted for a lifetime cookie, Also as a safe guard I proposed a promotional id that would also be the affiliate id that a consumer would have to give in order to receive at a free gift. Hoping this would insure proper commissions. Furthermore, I understand that repeat sales has been a problem, so I suggested a database where purchasers information would be stored so any future sales would be credited to the proper affiliate. Also, it is my understanding that affiliates feel that their hand have been tied regarding only using the merchants methods of promotion whereas my only concern is that they could use any promotion as long as it is a legal method within the United States. Lastly it seems that many programs have an at will termination so the Merchant could terminate if it felt it had significant name recognition whereas I proposed that the termination could only occur for good cause. (ie. Illegal promotional materials) I was just curious if there were other concerns as affiliates that I had overlooked that I should incorporate to be fair.
