What Is The Secret To Getting Videos To Embed?

Fuck, this forum is frustrating when you're trying to post a video. It's like a 50/50 chance it embeds or not. Fucking pisses me off.

I thought you just posted the entire URL and it should take care of itself. Am I missing something?

click 'post link', put in the whole URL. delete the 's' if its https (its fine if its http), and submit. i haven't posted a bunch of vids, so i may be leaving out something.
 
You can't embed videos on WF :(

All you have to do is just post the URL and leave it to the forum whether to embed it or not.

From what I hear videos which have extra words like "feature", "player", "embedded" in the URL after "watch?" won't embed. As shown in the example below:

PSY - GENTLEMAN M/V - YouTube

And videos which have just some random letters like "v=QuTYX7gMPWM" in the URL after "watch?" will embed just fine as in the example shown below:

Delete everything but what's above and paste right into the message box

Just delete all that out of the URL

this is the sharpest forum i've seen by a long shot. while that has tremendous upsides, the last thing you want to do in here is look weak/noob. why ask potentially dumb questions & risk getting run out on a rail for something so trivial as how to post a vid?

posting vids here is not intuitive, there's a trick to it; kudos to OP for having the balls to risk it.
