While working on your business, what are your hours like? Do you typically spend 8-10 hours a day in front of you machine hammering away? Or do you take a lot of breaks and get little done?

Just curious how you spend your time.

Up at 6:00 a.m. every day, 7 days a week.

Walk, coffee and reading until 7:30 a.m.

Then, I work on my clients' projects until about 6:00 p.m. I take lunch at 2:00 p.m. (catch up on news, Doonesbury and the latest political shenanigans).

I take a few short breaks (15 minutes) throughout the day to recharge the brain (essential when working on clients' projects).

I work on and off from the moment I wake up until I go out at night. But there's frequent breaks thrown in there. Pretty much I tweak everything I have to as fast as I can, then I wander around or play halo until I have enough data to evaluate. Rinse, lather, repeat until the night time.

My little guy gets up at 5:30am, I start my day at 5:45/6:00am, my business until 8, work for 'the man' from 8a-4p, start back on my own world around 8. Weekends my own stuff from 7a-4p sat/sun.

i try to hit the gym in the morning, and get in the office at like 9-10am. then i'll end up working until 6-8pm depending on how much i get done and how drunk i get while working

schedule

Wake up at 5:30 AM
Watch/read the news 6:00 AM
Try to hit the gym by 7:30 AM (sometimes 8 PM instead)
Stop at Starbucks 9:00 AM
Hit the office, get my momentum going by 9:30 AM
Lunch at 12:30 PM
Finish by 7:00 PM
..

Of course the schedule varies, depending on what I'm working on. Every six months I completely change things up, I find it helps to think differently... :)

I do 3 hours of "work". Keep it short and productive instead of dragging all day checking stats, forums, emails, and all that useless shit.

I have a check list of income producing activities, I do them, and I call it a day. (3 hours)

Fuck long hours.

Scheduling my work time no longer works for me. I feel like I'm in a time prison, forcing myself to work until X o'clock.

So I work off and on throughout the day, and work for maybe what comes out to be 8 hours. I could probably get the same amount of work done in only 6-7 hours if I did it all at once (it takes longer to keep picking back up where I left off) but I like being able to mess around throughout the entire day vs working morning and having night off.
