What kind of computer chair do you have?

A nice leather chair that leans back and I have one of these

Ok guys,
I'm in India and if I found a dealer who sells Herman Millers.:

1)Embody chair with Graphite base/frame, will cost you Rs. 85,500/- + Taxes
2)Embody chair with Polished base/Graphite frame, will cost you Rs. 99,500/- + Taxes
3)Embody chair with Polished base/White frame, will cost you Rs. 125,500/- + Taxes.

With the Rupee being about 53 for a US dollar, I'm looking to spend about $1800 for the base model. (Costs us more because we probably have a tonne of import taxes)
I can afford a $1000 chair but twice that, I can't afford it very comfortably.
Do you guys think it's still worth the money?
We're shifting the office and I've been on the lookout for a chair I could sit in for hours at stretch. My tushi needs to be in it for 8 hours a day min.

The current one makes my back pain and ass feel sore. (I cheaped out when I bought it, it cost me some $100 or so. :P (China made) )

However, do any of you asians know of a cheaper option for an equally good chair?
I want something in the $1000 range, $2k is an overkill for a chair..especially one that costs $1k elsewhere.

I would say maybe find a cheaper chair and mix in a standing desk. Also have you tried sitting on an exercise ball?

I'm getting a custom desk made with an Amethyst tabletop. (It's a semi precious stone, for those of you who didn't know) and the side unit is going to be covered in some nice textured leather.
ETA: A month, (They're currently fixing in the flooring so it'll be a month before get to building the table.)

It's going to look sick! I'll definitely post some pics on here to let you guys have a look.

Now, the current plan of action (before I read about the embody) was a custom built chair covered in full grain italian calfskin. The leather along with building the chair will cost me just a little over $1000 but I don't know how ergonomic it'll be in comparison to the embody.

THe way you guys make it sound, it seems that the embody is comfortable like heaven compared to other chairs and I really want to know what it feels like to be able to sit in a chair 8 hours straight without having a damaged back.

Well I can tell you, it's not like you're sitting in a cloud or anything. My recliner is much more "comfortable" but it'd be a poor work solution. The embody very adjustable and if you set it up correctly you should have proper height and support where you need it the most, this allows you to sit a long time without pain. I'm just saying I use to get a lot of leg and back pain out of my old cheapo desk chair that maybe cost $100-$200. Honestly I couldn't be much happier with the Embody... maybe if anything they could put a damn headrest on it.

I'm also rocking a huge GeekDesk, will probably review that for you guys this weekend.

I would like to buy Modway Veer. Available in 7 radiant colors; veer stands out of the slot with colors ranging from gray, black, brown, green, orange, red, tan.

The efficient mesh back allows airflow between your back and back supports your spine keeping your posture straight while working.

The square shaped seat pan can hold you for a longer duration, and the plastic made lightweight chair is easy to move from one place to another with the help of dual caster wheels.

The wheels are strong enough and glide easily over roof floors, tiles and carpets. Veer provides swiveling along with pneumatic adjustments.

The lever, when pulled, will raise the height canceling the problems people face in front of different desks.

The lumbar support gives enough flexibility to your lower back reducing back aches. Mesh back, flip up arms, color options and back tilt make up the veer making its place in my wish list.

i use an an easy chair with 5 wheels. And it also move around. So whenever I need to go backward I don't need to back myself. I just turn it backward and it works. :)
