Hi Guys

Well I'm just about to upgrade to a 3 screen setup and was wondering what CPU's, Graphic cards and Monitors you can recommend.
Also, what are the good mounting options that are out there?

Anything to stay away from?

Thanks!

I have two 1gb dual-dvi graphics cards. Monitors are all 22". works flawlessly. Not sure if CPU comes into play a lot with my cards being so bulky, but for what it's worth, COD2-4-5 all work flawlessly. 4G ram.

like bb said, just throw a couple of decent pci express (nvidia or ati) dual dvi cards in the box and you'll be good. you will be fine with low end cards unless you play games.

i am running 2x ati radeon hd 4650 cards (like $80 each at the time) - they run 4 monitors at high res perfectly. but i would go higher end if i did any 3d stuff or played games.

Just running 2 gforce cards for my main and servers for the other screens

Cool thanks guys. I do play games occasionally but I'll be fine playing it on just one monitor and quite frankly I don't really care much for getting the best graphics so a couple lower end ones should be fine.

What monitors can you reccommend? I thought there was a what-hardware-to-get thread somewhere but I just can't find it.

Also, how do you mount the monitors neatly?

Thanks

Yeah I found the monitor threads but the newest post is 1+ years old so I'm looking for some more up to date info.

I'm not looking to get the best performing stuff. I would like to increase my efficiency so 3 Monitors seem to be the way to go. As long as they are decent, I'm good. Not looking to spend much more then $200, would be happier with $150 each.

Well, you can find some $150-200 models in the 19-22" range that would be ok I suppose. Personally I would try to move up to 24", even if that means you only get one or two to start with and add on more later. I'm a proponent of buying the best gear possible. Don't cheap out, you'll always regret it later.

Something like this 24" Samsung perhaps, at $295... NCIXUS.com - Buy Samsung LS24TWQSUV/ZC T240 24IN Widescreen LCD Monitor 1920X1200 20000:1DC 5ms DVI VGA HDMI HDCP - LS24TWQSUV/ZC.

There most recent monitor threads are only a few months old BTW. The first one is still on page one...

That's just a selection, there are many more.

Well I'll probably have to decide in getting two 24" or 3 20"
I'd much rather get 3 (slight symetry OCD) and real estate wise that would seem to be the better option too.
