I've always had to scratch my head at all of the disdain for mistreating animals (read: Michael Vick) and somehow people are OK with $0.99 double cheeseburgers. When you parse it out, the difference between the two gets really slim.

Sucks he had to go to prison for it. There's probably better ways to teach the guy a lesson and not get himself in trouble, but I mean.... can you really get mad at the guy for defending another living, sentient, emotion and pain feeling being in this universe from a masochistic, sociopathic dickhead?

Yeah but cows are raised and slaughtered for food without fanfare or celebration. Dogfighting is quite different.

At least in theory. There is some seriously sadistic stuff that goes on in slaughterhouses.
