What the fuck is this? (more SEOmoz gimmick)

The first problem is yall are smart enough to see this is a marketing gimmick. But no one cares that your fucking smart, except for maybe your mom.

The second problem is yall are stupid enough to criticize the marketing gimmick of a guy who is totally beating us all at the game of life.

Everything Moz does is a useless gimmick and none of it helps with SEO IMHO just another bit of trash to throw into the pile.

If you think that SEOMoz Weather thing is a useless gimmick, you haven't experienced the world of utter bullshittery that is Digital Media Marketing (as it's called).

That world is ALL about style over substance. It does't matter if their stuff makes you rank better, only that it looks good when they show it to their boss. None of you are in a position to give meaningful criticism of SEOMoz, because you're not their target market. Shiny gimmicks, nice reports and useless geegaws are EXACTLY what sells to the corporate marketing agency world.

Think of it as an acai berry rebill, but instead of suckering some jobless 300lb woman from Ohio who spend her whole day watching Oprah for $60, they're suckering some MBA from New York with a $3k suit and over-inflated idea of his own self-importance for $60,000.

And nobody's calling you out on being a fucking fag so stfu.

I just got done at MozCon. The reasoning behind this tool was interesting. Did you know there have been a few Google changes that were fairly significant that Google never announced? I personally don't care all that much, and I'm not sure if the tool is all that useful, but whatever.

I've actually gotten more value out of the last three days than a few months worth of reading at WF. Paddy Moogan's presentation about 35 link building tips was solid. Chatted with him and he shared a few extra tips as well.

Had dinner with Jon from Raven tools and he shared a case study where by re-coding his blog theme he tripled traffic. Got some good local tips from Darren Shaw of WhiteSpark.

Had breakfast with Dan Thies and we chatted about how his blog was negative SEO'ed by some guys from TrafficPlanet. Made some connections with other SEOs.

For the most part, I'd say that the people who were at the conference were not good at SEO, but I met some pretty smart guys.
