What to do with old pharma sites?

I have number of pharma sites, earlier used with various affiliate programs but I stopped using these programs for last around one year.

So in replacement I used AdSense with little change and earning good money but Google is banning sites one by one due to content & design issue (mainly duplicate content - which is common in this niche), so reducing earning.

Now I am in search of some method I can use in replacement to AdSense, so that I can continue earning through those sites, but:

- I dont want to go back to pharma
- Herbal alternatives dont do much
- Most of the AdSense alternatives do not like pharma sites

Can you guys please suggest some way to use those sites in a better manner?

Which drugs were you promoting? Controlled, non controlled? Depending on what you were promoting makes a difference in how you can monetize. How much traffic are you getting now to these sites and for what? If you still get a lot of traffic, maybe consider selling to someone who is still in the game.
 
all kinds of general controlled and non-controlleds with some sites for mainly weight loss drugs. Traffic is good that it makes me around $50 per day. I am not considering selling sites becuase - first it will block all earnings and second no one will give good pricing as industry is in problems.

Traffic comes mainly to weight loss.
 
With weight loss you might as well offer the free trials that are so popular. Acai, wu yi, green tea, and the various herbal phens that are out there.
 
why not go back to these affiliate programs rather than adsense? i'm actively involved in a number of pharma sites and still earning good money from them. A friend of mine recently sold his weight loss site for just under $20k USD, so there are still buyers out there. Pm me if you would like more info.
 
Weight loss is still massive, it's concerning that the sites are getting banned? Is there some other reason that this might be happening because I've not seen sites just get banned for dup content (they usually just get filtered in the serps).

As a result, we have disabled ad serving to the site.

These were not doorway pages and content was written by me - but it was written for selling meds and there were no meds selling on sites, so may that is the reason.
