What were you doing online in '95?

why do you bring back this thread if you have nothing relevant or interesting to say? Ahhh the DP syndrome is gaining territory like swine flu...:(

-Downloading xxx pics and trying to hide them on my Dad's PC
-Loading weird Warscripts into MiRC and doing Ping Of Death to people online.
-And making stupid websites.

For some reason, the first ever site I uploaded to my old ISP is still online. Even though the isp doesn't exist any more!

Here it is:

My Cat Is Staring At Me.

What can I say? I had just discovered illegal substances too and was exploring them with abandon.

watching porn and talking to some hot gals. I guess i found more Gfs online than real life :D

+ Playing games mainly Unreal tournament :D

I was a 6-year-old in a war torn country...
..but I was playing Wolfenstein, SimCity 2000, SimFarm and Power Pete on my Machintosh Performa...

speaking of porn, how did you guys hide your porn back then (those who were using the family PC I mean :))

Me => batch-renaming in DOS mode running this command (which still works today): ren *.jpg *.123 :rasta:

Hell, I don't remember 1995. I was drunk most of that year in college.

I do remember prior to that in the olden days of playing tradewars and having nothing but BBSes to fuck with.

Building a business plan for an ISP and getting funded, creating a web hosting and design company, building websites for everyone . . finishing school, slowly getting married and then who knows what the fuck happened next. . . .
Doom, DoomII, Lan Parties on Novell IPX (loaded drivers and the game in less than 640k bitches) Played Myst all the way through in 24 real time hours (around 95 . . .)

Fun times . . I lived in shitty $300 month apartment and had a bike for transportation.

Sometimes I wish things were that simple again.

Went from BBSs at the beginning of 1995 to marketing dialup for an ISP by the end of the year. Everyone wanted to get online, that was the most "fish jumping in the boat" time I've ever had in business.

Also built some horrible looking corporate web sites using TeachText and Photoshop 3.0 on a Mac that couldn't run for more than an hour without crashing.
