I don't recall any demonstrations of this size by muslim countries when drones are killing their people...

I figured a lot of the crazies would also follow the people trying to get away from that BS, that's kind of how it goes.
Some of these guys have to know they're assholes and they understand they wouldn't be asserting their douchiness if they didn't stalk their rational neighbors. Of course, I'm sure plenty do it unconsciously, just a weird calling they get to go move next door to their old neighbor in another country.
But still, it has to be unbearable where the hipsters were jihading before 2002.
To be totally fair, Christian extremist are blowing up a lot more stuff than the Muslim extremists. They just have fancier weapons, and a very misleading PR campaign telling us that these precision guided weapons aren't killing 50 innocent civilians for every targeted terrorist.
Not trying to brush off the original topic either, what they did was disgusting and appalling. We just shouldn't let Christian extremist off the hook either, and we do exactly that when we pretend that Muslims are the only problem.
How about you stop telling me what to think? Your beliefs are not guaranteed respect, you have to earn it.

We stand up. We make noise. We are here. Open you're eyes. You just don't look for us. You look at what they show you on TV, and they don't show our type of Muslims on TV. We do not condone this violence and strongly speak out against it. Don't put us all in the same category please.

Not enough. You know what this is our fault too for not getting active in the community and pretty much keeping to ourselves. People need to know that these imbéciles, ignorant and savages don't represent us nor they have the right to speak or act on behalf of one billion of Muslims around the world. Here is a small stat, the protesters you see are equal to only 0.001%, but yeah that's all it takes...not worth the lives lost. BLAH...

And now it is time for the non-cancerous portion of Islam to RISE UP and reclaim their religion and their dignity in the eyes of the rest of the world. Noone else can do this for you. It will take courage to stand up to these thugs that exist amongst you. But at some point you will have to.
America isn't your only problem. If they leave you still have to deal with the sunni / shia problems. School children and women getting blown up on a daily/weekly basis, muslim on muslim violence.
You will still have to rise the fuck up and send a message to these bastards that are giving all of you a bad name. Women and children should be marching through the streets demanding an end to violence and hatred, especially amongst your own people.
How long will it be? Who knows....

Sorry, but first of all, besides love and peace I also happen to believe in freedom and Islam is the single biggest oppressor of freedom in the world.
Second, there are also people who think Hitler was a great man, lots of people supported Pol Pot, Mao, Kim Jong-Il and other people.
Just because someone claims their chosen cult leader is divine doesn't exempt them from critizism or mockery.
The only reason I see why Islam is so adament about defending the honor of Muhammed is because they know that a critical, historic look at his life would reveal him to be a very real, earthly tribe leader who took 13 wives, married a 9 year old, had dozens of sex slaves and killed countless of people.
If you look at The Prophet scientifically, he is no different than any other megalomaniac who believed himself god (the names mentioned above for starters).
You are of course free to follow the ramblings of a 7th century warlord in Arabia, but the problem with muslims is, that unlike most other religions, you just seem to want to force your freedom hating dogma on everyone else.
I've never been able to have a rational discussion about religion with a muslim. You instantly shut off logic when asked something critically. Really, the curious case of Islam is most likely similar to other brainwashing cults like the Moon movement and Scientology.
You can make fun of a certain class of people (Muslim terrorist), but it hurts when you go up to your Prophet or God !
