when did you move out of your parents house?

Feel free to get some Poontang.. rent or get a house. The poon doesn't come free man!

Poon likes you to have your own place even more than poon likes you to have a crazy nice car. Stop fucking in your car for fucks sake!

I'm 19 right now. I'm a student going to college on several nice scholarships that require me to have a rigorously high GPA. For this reason (room and board paid for), I stay on campus. My girlfriend (same hometown, same college) and I come home every other weekend (live an hour and a half away), so I still get family time.

I love my parents, and I've learned a lot from them about how to manage money and how to make more by living below your needs. My dad was a nuclear chemist raking in almost a quarter million a year at the turn of the millenium, but when he realized that his job was slowly killing him, we moved to rural North Carolina.

I spend the summers at home hanging out with them, and when I graduate college, my girlfriend will still have another year to go, so I'll probably find a nice apartment in the college town for the year. Then, after she graduates, she'll go on to a medical school somewhere in the Carolinas, so I'll probably follow her there. Hopefully, if everything goes according to plan, I'll have enough money saved up four years from now to buy a middle-of-the-road house in a nice neighborhood outright.

Dreams are for achieving, right?

How did all of you move out at 17? Did you drop out of highschool... I didn't finish hs till mid 18, and while i was in the higher age group for my grade i wasn't like obscenely old.

Depends on when your birthday is but if you start kindergarten at 5 you'll graduate grade 12 when you are 17 or 18. My birthday is in July so I finished when I was 17. I knew people that were getting their own places that summer.

Moved out of "home" at 14. I guess it was more like: I borrowed my father $500 (all the money I had at that time..) to pay rent, as I had recently noticed a notice of eviction on the door. That $500, potentially went to cocaine and hookers.. Although I doubt it.. He probably "tithed" it all to the church.. Similar to what had likely happened with the initial rent money.. In any event, upon returning home from school very shortly afterwards, I noticed an additional piece of paper on our door stating we had 24 hours to get our stuff and gtfo.. or else the sheriff would "assist" us in doing so.. I called pops to inquire, and the options available to me were: move about two hours away and live in a pickup truck at a campground until "things blew over". Or: "move out" (be a hobo). I chose the latter of the two.
while shitty, it was probably the best decision ive made..

Left for college when I was 16.

(I used to be a year younger than everyone else, now I'm in an industry where at 28 I feel like an artifact.)

On my own after college at 20.

So do I. Except I call mine Wife, and it also does dishes and laundry.
