Taken place dec 2010 and yet I haven't even heard of this until now.

It's only a hate crime when a white kills a black. He had his fucking EIGHT year old with him, I'm sure he was going to kill this guy right in front of her. Unlike that little gangster, drug dealing wannabe trayvon - this guy was actually respectable and served his country. But again he's not black so whats the point in the media reporting it right?

In any case it's been nearly two years and he's still not been formally charged so I'm certain the Zimmerman case will go on for at least that long as well.

Thoughts?

He's on trial for manslaughter.

Reports of justifiable homicides tripled after the law went into effect, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Last year, twice a week, on average, someone's killing was considered warranted.
The self-defense law — known as "stand your ground" — has been invoked in at least 93 cases with 65 deaths, a St. Petersburg Times review found.
In the majority of the cases, the person's use of force was excused by prosecutors and the courts.

Too soon?

I still think Trayvon was right to confront Zimmerman though. If you're going to follow strangers in the dark you have to expect them to fear for their life and when people fear for their life you can't predict how they will react. If Zimmerman was following me I would have beat his ass too. It all boils down to that.
 
Don't fucking wrestle a man with a gun. Isn't that common sense?

Keep your nose out of other people's shit, especially when they bring out their gun and you're unarmed with your eight year old kid.

Instead, daddy had to pick a fight with old man dooley, and now daddy's dead.
