I'm just sorta curious where the networks hire their AM's at - do they work at an office, telecommute, or work all over the world.

I just had the strangest conversation with one that leads me to think they are hired from behind the counter at McDonalds :)

Hello friend,

I no think network have go out to look for affiliate managers. I think hundreds if not thousands of people send in resume to company every day to hope to become affiliate manager. They choose best one. Like those from Havard or MIT.

Good luck bro.

Hello friend,

I serious. I always thought affiliate manager job pay very good. I know affiliate manager get paid commission base on how well affiliate they manage perform. Like 2% to 4%.

So if manager have 1 super affiliate who make $1 million commission a month, the affiliate manger get over $30,000 from 1 affiliate alone.

Say total commission $2 million a month from all affiliate manage. That is over $60,000 a month. That is over $700,000 a year.

Some people well no earn $700,000 a year even if work entire life. Why won't many people fight to get affiliate manager job?

Good luck bro

Spoon pic needed. The act is getting old.

My guess is that most are under the 40k range - which mind you is better than McDonalds :)

Any serious answers -- I know we have some AM's and a few network owners in here. I'm really curious.

Hello friend,

Why would affiliate manager work for so little money? They can make that much by run campaign themselve in 1 month if very good. If decent can make in 2 or 3 month.

Maybe that base salary and no include bonus commision of affiliate manage.

Good luck bro.

Because I deal with affiliate managers and most of them aren't very good at their jobs. Some of the networks have GOOD ones, but many are hired from with in the company and might have been anything prior to being thrown in that position.

and some (cough cough) are just hired because they are good looking girls (cough cough)
