where is a good place to sell a website?

Anything worth while is a waste of time putting up on flippa, and god forbid you put some sort of original idea up for sale, you will have a plethora of copycat sites up and gunning for you within a matter of hours. Not to mention he PM's from "genuinely interested" people that wind up just being low-lifes trying to scrape as much inside information as possible from you.

Sold a network of 5 sites for xxx,xxx thanks to flippa. You do get tire kickers, and you ARE running a public website after all I wouldn't worry about others seeing it/your model. Just restrict very sensitive shit to those that sign NDA's or place a bid.
You'll also get approached by brokers if it's a legit/bigger business - don't commit to any broker (especially exclusive).
I believe the fee maxes out at $500, which is well worth it if you're selling anything past xx,xxx. You should be willing to cover the cost when you do your auction, don't put 'buyer covers fee' it looks really cheap.

Thanks everyone - i set the website up on flippa for auction of 24 hours or something like that and there was a bigger who bid 3k, and he won now suddenly he aint answering on skype which is weird. but will see in the close couple of days how this ends.
If you know your site is going to sell for that you can choose the max rate and pay $95 at the beginning of the auction. Even if your site sells for $1 million all you pay is $95, but if it doesn't sell you're stuck paying it anyways. With all the tirekickers and false bids you can get fucked if you aren't careful. I've even had a buyer back out after he wired $30k to me for a site (I probably could have told him to deal with it, but I knew the site was worth more so I went along).
Your site isn't worth $3k - no offense. Plus, no serious bidder is going to be interested in a 24 hour auction because that just screams fraudulent numbers. Set up your auction with a BIN attached to a PayPal account, that way the auction only ends once they pay.
Flippa is the Shit. Other than the tire kicker, there are also people who buys 6 month old sites with 10 unique content for a few thousand. And there are lots of serious buyers lurking around.
Also the website wasnt listed for 24 hours it was listed for 30 days but i set the reserve to 3k and the person bid that 3k and once the reserve price is met the auction time go to a 24 hour count down. so it had nothing to do with fraudulent. also i will say this again, i am not and wasnt looking to sell the website on WF and i said to to every person who asked about it.
Alright please Explain me why exactly my website isnt worth $ 3k ? Please tell me? the profit i stated are true and i invested around half of that just in links buying and promoting the main keywords . so tell me please how isnt it worth the 3k ?
also i have the website for 7 months the website made a gross profit
of 10,500 $ and net profit of about $7 so please do tell me how do you evaluate a wabsite without knowing all the details.

The site gets very little traffic, is too new, has shit for SERP's, a fucked up domain, not enough content, No PR, a shitty Alexa, your shopping cart is fucked up and your profit numbers appear to be complete bullshit. Other than that the site is great. I see why you didn't want someone on WF to buy it - because we fucking know better, but good luck selling it.

I'm sorry your site sucks but the truth is the truth. You seem to have an emotional attachment to it, but you've got to realize potential buyers do not. Good luck with your sale but if you think you're going to trick someone into buying that for $3k you're deluding yourself.
