pardon me for my engrish. because its not my native language. okay so lately I'm trying to get in to affiliate marketing and I have read a lot on other forums about it. I'm with some of the CPA companies and I know about youtube marketing.. btw I'm not good at SEO. I have read a lot about auto blogs and bla bla.. but I'm confused where to start.

I know I might be flamed for this thread but I hope some one will help me as someday everyone has started at the same stage. I'm no new to online world and working as a freelancer for almost 3 years but I don't really want to do jobs for others if I can make money myself. any help would be appreciated.

Pick a traffic source and stick with it until you understand what works and what doesn't, so either a paid source like Fb, PoF, ppv etc or go for the free side of things like SEO , article marketing etc which I would suggest if you haven't got a good amount of money to spend testing when starting out.

You won't find anybody that will guide you step by step if you don't show that you have at least done some research.

Read all the stickies here Traffic & Content - WickedFire - Affiliate Marketing Forum - Internet Marketing Webmaster SEO Forum and use the search function, you'll find plenty of good stuff to read

Thanks for the input but as I said I know a lil bit about youtube marketing or if you say youtube spamming :P.. as far as I know every marketer online is using or have used blackhat methods somewhere. I know no one can guide me step by step process but if anyone can gimme an idea it will be much appreciated.

Since your question was about SEO, there you find all you need to know, including links to external resources so you really have to read that.

If your question was not only about SEO then you have to be more specific about what you want to do, about an idea or a method...

pick a niche, maybe a hobby or something you're interested in. Post 3-5 articles a day to it that you have written. Learn how to research keywords and base your content around those keywords. Post blog comments for 2 hours a day.

Thanks for the suggestion. Let me guess if it is an old ancient method to start with blog writing. nowadays things like WP-omatic and many article spinners can be used to write content.. also for blog commenting we can use things like Scrape Box etc.. or some WP plugins..

Let me know if I interpreted it in wrong way. as far as I know google love unique content but for getting unique content do we really need to write articles/ or hire freelancers for? Can't be it done by auto spinners or plugins like WP-aumatic..

for keyword research I guess google exteral keyword tool is great I might also buy Market Sumurai or anyother keyword research tool.

First, pick a niche that interests you because it will keep you motivated and interested in the project. So many people fail by trying to get into competitive keywords, such as weight loss or insurance. Start with something that interests you and you'll be on your way.

If you are developing a new website then unique content is infinitely better for your rankings then using article spinners. The problem with article spinners is that they can't really guarantee that syntax stays correct and often you will notice incomplete or jumbled sentences.

I'm not trying to whore myself out but there are plenty of content writers here who are more then willing to work with you. Look in the SBT section and find the writer who is best suited for you. If you are on a tight budget, then you should start writing articles for yourself.

I have Market Samurai and I love it. It's extremely efficient, has helped me find tons of back linking opportunities and the guys there are constantly updating it.

if you're asking "where should I start" and are already looking for shortcuts, you might be trouble. Spending 3 hours a day writing articles for your sites beats the hell out of flipping burgers or getting bitched at by a boss.

Also, sounds like you learned some stuff from BHW...it'd be best to shake off as much as that as possible because the vast majority of those guys aren't making a dime and most of the advice there is utter shit.

1) Pick a niche that interests you.
2) Do keyword research.
3) Think about what makes people buy/click.
4) Build a WP site/blog around your keywords, and structure it in a way that makes people click. Example: If you pick web hosting (very competitive), think about what would make someone sign up right now...think about what info they're looking for before making their buying decision.
5) Keep on posting 2-5 articles per day, and add a few comments.
6) Post a link to your post in relevant forums.
7) Work on more backlins while continuing to post articles.
8) Post a few articles to article sites (ezine, etc) with links to your site.

Don't be lazy, stop browsing forums 24/7, and get to work. Laziness will get you nowhere. Traffic isn't everything, you can get 50k visitors per month, if your content sucks and people leave your site within 30sec, you won't make money.

Disclaimer: Just started out in a very competitive field and don't have that much AM experience, but the above seems to work for me. Site already paid for the whole year afte 2mo :)

yeah you are true I'm an old member there.. however I'm not sure if you are right about BHW members but yeah now I can understand they are not best. I can feel that wickedfire is a very advanced forum and most of the top notch internet marketers are here.

My bad that I ignored this forum earlier due to a rumor :( but here I don't see lately guys posting real working methods.. seems like expert marketers here no more sharing working methods..

Nobody is going to share their exact method, instead just ask intelligent questions and you'll get intelligent answers.

Methods are only as good as the person using them. It doesn't matter if I tell you how I earn money. You will not be able to exactly replicate it because you don't have the same work ethic, knowledge, or experience that I have.

Instead of complaining about not seeing new methods being posted, you should be focusing on reading what is available and then applying them to your own style.

Being able to take an idea and concept, then abstract it and use it in multiple places is the only way you're ever going to be successful.

Henry Ford didn't revolutionize the auto industry by being the first or best person to build cars, he took ideas and methods already available about automotives, took ideas and methods already available about industrialized plants and increasing worker productivity, and then melded them together in his own unique way to be able to efficiently mass produce them.

My point is, stop focusing on what you don't have and start focusing on what you do. The tools and information for success are here, you just have to be able to see and use them.

what would you suggest of where to browse the info.. I have been lurking around here for quite a some time.. forum's most crowded places like STS.. the available info is either too advanced or I can't even understand what is going on.. also 60%+ of the threads are not even related to internet marketing.. IMO

may be I'm missing something.. or any secrete method/part to browse the forum.

see, that's the issue with BHW, you get trained to expect end to end methods to make you BANK, but in reality, anyone posting an end to end method that supposedly works has no reason to post that because they could be making their own money off of that method instead.

Go read all of the stickes in the traffic and content section and the newbie section, that should give you a really good start to everything. Then come back and ask specific questions

thanks dchuk and all the guys who contributed. I will keep reading/updating this thread to educate myself and to newcomers similar to me. will appreciate more inputs from old IM guys.
