Who is Our New CEO

In my opinion i think SEO Mike should step in to the CEO role.

I have been on WF for about a year now, i think Mike is the most level headed and ambitious person who isnt already involved in something (or is he?) He has done a good job at being a mod, not sure if he would want to be CEO.

I would think the CEO job on this board would be very simple. As someone mentioned, build out the links up top, grow the directory, there are two advertisers, grow it to 20, it would increase revenue 1000%, build out the job board advertise the board to India and Philippines to get cheap labor viewing the board. After you start generating revenue from the advertising start to build a network of consultants who you can bill out to members and lurkers for help/advice/direction. WF gets a piece of the fee and the consultant gets the rest.

Mike if my post makes you step up, i will always be available for help. I have a good knack for generating revenue which would be key to growing WF

I would have some interest in this, but I probably should read some more posts to see what it would entail fully. I've run my own gig for 5 years, but there is plenty of time to do other things.

Plus, I used to run The Insider News newsletter, so I know plenty of advertisers out there.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Wow! Thanks for the vote of confidence Mike!

Um, I'm at a loss. I've run a $2.5 million dollar company before (still considered a small business by the government), and have written several business plans, but never really gave this much thought. I was under the impression that Jon wanted someone with proven CEO experience.

Truth be told, I love Wickedfire and would love to see it grow by leaps and bounds. I'm just not sure if I'm the right guy or not. I'll give it some thought and maybe I will throw my hat in the ring. Not sure though.

Either way, thanks for the ego boost! I needed that! :D

You would need a log of changes here to bring in mainstream advertisers.

I mean the 2 current banner advertisers contain... a squirrel fucking a webpage and another with a bunch of fat chicks.

I disagree. Wickedfire isn't going after "mainstream" advertisers like Wal-Mart. This is a no-bullshit affiliate forum. So the people that would advertise would be affiliate companies and related that #1. Know Wickedfire's reputation, and #2. Have some sense of humor or at least understand the mentality of super-affiliates and up-and-comers

Problem is....the big money is with the mainstream advertisers. Look at AskMen.com

There is always a way to keep a tone/feel without sacrificing the big money.

Go for it Mike, I think you'd be great for the job! I'm sure most people here would much rather see a board regular running the show than some outsider coming in who's just focussed on profit.

CEO_Mike! :D

We will make more money in the long run Mike and you wont have to deal with HUGE EGO'S. Oh wait, any SEO's for hire out there?:D

Askmen promotes what converts for their demographic, which is why they always have sex tip-hypno-NLP gurus being advertised.. Plus it's part of a large network of sites that cross pollinate
