I got around 70 cents per referral when I did it a bit before. I think its really close to a dollar for US/canada. I must've gotten random people installing it.

I was getting $1 per referral yesterday (6 conversions)
today I had 3 conversions but only $0.85 in earnings

I'm guessing there's no set amount for this?

Basically, they pay about $1 or close to it for US/Canada. Then they pay a bit less for places like Europe and such and alot less for other regions.

A dollar, a whole dollar, wow! That's cheap, christ. I guess it's okay though because I refer people for free all the time because FireFox rules, hell I even bought a t-shirt!
