How many times do I have to tell you fools... Android phones are gonna be SOOO much better than this crap.

Steve Jobs bragged about loading a webpage in 21 seconds on the new 3G iphone at WWDC today... they showed him doing it... and every one cheered. 21 seconds? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?
  • 2MP Camera? Crap.
  • Shitty Touchscreen Keyboard with no Haptic feedback? Bullshit.
  • Built in battery forcing you to ship your whole goddamn phone in if it has a problem? No dice.
They rushed this piece of crap out so they could beat out phones like the BlackBerry Thunder and Android Phones. This way, unsuspecting idiots will buy the iPhone because of the hype.

THERE IS A REASON THAT APPLE'S STOCK FELL TODAY... IT'S BECAUSE THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WAS GARBAGE.

Oh yeah, when you buy the iPhone they also don't give you a fucking charging dock. You gotta buy that for $49 extra. No wonder they were able to lower the price so much... they turned this thing into a piece of crap!

This is a crock of shit. I hope the idiots who get this suffer while I'm playing with my kickass android phone before the year is over.

the android phone is going to be the 'desktop linux' of the cell phone industry. Every month/year people are going to be saying "now.... it is ready to be generally accepted". And then Wierd Al will mention it in his next version of "White and Nerdy"
 
HTC touch and HTC tytn 2 are different phones emp. i must admit the iphone looks good but i would swap my tytn 2 for one
 
Rapesco, I know those 2 are different phones.

My gripe is not really with the phone, it is the OS that sucks sweaty donkey balls.

As I said before, it is sluggish and crappy.
My bets are still on that Microsoft's development strategy went like this:
"Hey, this would be sexy" - "Ok, we won't do it, then"
(repeat for every possible thing that could have made Windows Mobile sexy)

I mean... I have been using several Windows Mobile based devices over the last years and somehow it seems as if they are getting SLOWER with each better device, faster CPU, more RAM, etc... WTF?

Features are irrelevant, I carry an N95 and an Iphone most of the time.. The iphone's interface puts it so far ahead of the feature rich N95's symbian OS that I almost never use my N95 for anything but a camera.

emp: There are linux builds out there that have a GUI VERY similar to the iPhone.
But check out HTC's "Diamond"... it's basically the iPhone interface's slick sexiness, but with the power you'd expect from a serious PDA. Rumour has it a secondary version will also have the same Radeon card that the O2 Flame was packing, so you're basically getting a PSP with a touch screen and phone dialing capability.
 
The interface of the HTCs is .. sadly.. built on top of Windows Mobile.
And it is only skin deep - as soon as you tap 3 times, you are back in the WMobile interface.

emp: Yeah, if you leave windows on it. Whilst I'm happy with the windows interface on my phone, I know that there are people who are already running Android on their phones: YouTube - Android running on HTC TytnΙΙ (Kaiser)
And if people are getting Linux to run on their HTC Universal (Linux on the HTC Universal) then it can't be all that much more difficult to get a distro going that works on newer models.
