Why Are The Sheeple So Worried About Iran?

All of this makes me wonder why the Iranians haven't pitched in on those Ron Paul money bombs. You'd almost think that the Iranian government would use an Iranian company set up in the US to support his campaign, since it would obviously be in their best interest.

Well they probably thought it; but since Obama took Iran out of the SWIFT system... :disgust::crap::disgust:

with all due respect to all opinions on this thread I think the main misconception here is trying to answer the question who is right, which can not be answered because none of the above mentioned countries are, or will ever be, in the right.

The US mainly wants economical power, it is willing to go to war for it. The Iranians want power and influence, they want it first on their fellow Arabs who are Muslim, meaning regional power. The regime in Iran is not a democracy, gays are being hanged in Iran all the time, young girls suspected of adultery are in prison waiting for the right moment to be executed, criticism is not something these people take lightly. Israel wants to survive and keep growing its financial system (which is not very strong).

As much as I think it is good to disbelieve the TV and news in this case not believing something does not mean that it is the exact opposite. For example if the TV says that Iran wants the destruction of Israel and you do not believe it, simply don't believe it, but do yourself a favor and do not think that it means that the Iranians love Israel and want to hug all Israelis.

The statements about the destruction of Israel are numerous, are not a question of a faulty translation and misinterpretation, made by many people and not just the president of Iran. They want to kill all Israelis (something they have an moment that confuse the Israelis with Jews), they are free to hold that opinion just as Israel is free to defend itself.

The attitude towards Israel is clear, it can be seen by the terror organized war like actions of the Hizbolla in Lebanon, 100% sponsored by Iran (which does not deny it at all). While for years this terrorist organization was named a "resistance" group its purpose and master became clear when they started massacring Syrians in the latest uprising, they are Iran's soldiers who will do as instructed, and they slaughter Muslim Soni with no second thoughts - and they will do the same to gays, Christians, Jews, non-believers, Shi'a who oppose Iran and anyone they will be instructed to kill.

As much as this seems far away, and to not concern many of us here, this is one problem that keeps growing, and will eventually have consequences. To add to this, there are many Iranians who are desperate for freedom, for real democracy, and who are hold hostage by this fundamental government, the US had not helped them at all when they went out to the streets and got butchered and they remember that well.

Most Iranians are not Arabs.

gays are being hanged in Iran all the time
All the time or a few every year or so?

The statements about the destruction of Israel are numerous, are not a question of a faulty translation and misinterpretation, made by many people
Where are you getting this information?

Iranians are not Arabs they are Persians, I meant fellow Muslims (the) Arabs.

Gays are hanged in Iran, (latest I saw was Three Men Hanged For Having Gay Sex In Iran: Reports not all executions are reported, but it is official policy to murder gays for being born gay), not ALL the time, not like 5 have been hanged since this thread started, and not like probably 5 Syrians were murdered since this morning. So no, not all the time.

I see quotes in the news, check them on the net, mostly on the official FARS (Fars News Agency) they do not have a problem posting these things, however they do sometimes remove it a couple of hours later.

they are free to hold that opinion just as Israel is free to defend itself.

Except defending yourself is a little different than preemptively attacking / invading a peaceful and sovereign nation. And like it or not, Iran is a peaceful nation right now. They're not out invading other countries, and murdering people's women and children all over the globe. The US is.

Great vids. How many Iranians live in the U.S.? I've worked with quite a few in my past jobs. Pretty much all nice and smart people. Seems like another reminder to separate in your mind a country's people and its government...just like America.

Similar to what Matt said; because we are TOLD to be scared of Iran. The MSM CONSTANTLY reports on it in a scary way and never mentions inconvenient facts like:
A. There still is no proof of a nuclear weapons program at all in any way.

B. Iran practically BEGS for peace with the UN and USA every chance it gets but it's usually the USA that cuts off nuclear disarmament talks.

C. Iran is actually one of the most peaceful nations in the entire middle east; the anti-warmonger. All wars you've ever heard of there in modern history were them defending themselves from invasion.

D. Our entire history of doing harm to Iran that would obviously put them in a victimized light comparred to us.

E. The entire petrodollar thing, which gives the USA a motive to start war against them for simply trying to sell their oil elsewhere.

F. General Clark's admitting that we'll be going to war with Iran some year soon... Back in 2005 or so.
With all of these facts hidden from the drooling Idol watchers, it's much easier to get them to be OK with yet another undeclared war.

C. Hezbollah - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia etc ;) If you were truly peaceful, why would you be arming entities in other states? If you say self defence, how is that different from what the west does?

BINGO. Although people who leave their country are usually not "average".

True, but the issue at hand it not about Israel invading Iran (it does not share a boarder with Iran, the country is way too big for the small Israel army to invade etc etc).

Israel is basically asking the US for permission to attack Iran's nuclear facilities, not go into full on war and not to invade anything. Of course the US can turn it to "we invaded the country and took over all of its natural resources to save Israel" but this is not what is discussed right now.

Last comment about the US crimes around the world is very sad and true, if not currently we know for sure about the crimes in south America done in the 70s and 80s, I sure hope that the American leaders learned something from that.

Many Iranians who live in the US ran away during the "Islamic revolution", some supported the (very corrupt) Sash (ruler, king) and needed to get out for fear for their lives (and they had a good reason to be afraid), some realized that they could not live the same lives as before (many non Muslims or modern secular Muslims among them).
