Choosing Condoleezza Rice for Dropbox's Board is problematic on a number of deeper levels, and invites serious concerns about Drew Houston and the senior leadership at Dropbox's commitment to freedom, openness, and ethics. When a company quite literally has access to all of your data, ethics become more than a fun thought experiment.

Drop Condoleezza Rice or we will #dropdropbox

i honestly thought the drop-dropbox.com site was a satire of the brendan eich story. do people have anything better to think about or do?

Was going to drop it anyway. This recent appointment has confirmed that I shall. Despite Google's attractive price I most certainly won't be entrusting my data to them.

^ This.

The link states its not partisan-based, then whines about stuff the Bush administration did as it's justification. In general, if somebody is putting together a protest site and begging for supporters like a butthurt little bitch who has nothing better to do than pout about shit, its pretty obvious what "side of the aisle" they're on, isn't it?

love dropbox setup but mediafire is now offering 1TB for $5, seems to be a good deal to me.

I read an article in Forbes yesterday how this Russian company called "Bitrix" is the Dropbox killer. Haven't tried it yet, but I just might because there's 85% off discount till 12 april

really?

you guys are going to spend the time to jump from one company to another based on who they put on their BOD when it doesnt really effect you in any way?

idk, just like constantly task switching.. app switching is a huge waste of time and for sure. Hope your data is secure with those new companies as they iron out their bugs. Dropbox ( like Google drive ) has a huge volume of users, which in turns means they have ironed out most issues that could come up
