His rss feed counter seems to be getting higher and higher everytime. I don't get it, the guy's a fucking idiot and his posts aren't even helpful?
 


I asked this question to myself too. Removed his site from my feed reader some time ago.
 
It looks like he's taking full advantage of the fact that there are a lot of n00bs out there.

John Chow was good for me when i was a n00blet.
Everybody was a n00blet at one point or the other.
So, looks like John Chow is a good place to learn when you know zilch about online marketing and stuff.

Dude I made $10,000 in one day and it was easy. I know this sounds unbelievable but it's fucking TRUE. So check this, true story, I was working like I normally do everyday 8-10 hours a day when I stumbled on to something. You're never going to believe this.... I found a pocket of niches where the clicks pay 15$ each on adsense and it's super easy to rank for. So in no time flat I setup some basic 3-6 page mini-sites and ranked them, shit is was a cake walk. Nothing happened for a while and I thought it wasn't going to work then BOOOOMM! With Kontera you are paid when the page loads - it's pure CPM. With InteliTXT, users have to actually click.

Kontera's payouts and targeting are junk, though. :|

Edit: At least that's how it was when we tested them like a year ago. :)
 
he does have a lot of good info on there... it's just that he buries the good post with various other posts that he submits each day. I think that dude makes a post twice a day.
 
Okay, I just went there - hadn't been in many months.

Holy crap! I barely recognize it!

I read his blog a long time ago because were are in similar niches (with The Tech Zone and my forum), so it was a good read for me. I remember the first month he started the ads and he said he was donating it all to a charity... then he stopped that pretty fast. ;)

Good for him for running with it if that's what he enjoys. He's currently catering to the opportunity seekers, and that's a never ending market, so I bet he will continue to do very well. :)

yeah his site is completely unreadable - there is no fucking content above the fold! at least on my laptop. those who read his blog are those same sheeple who hang on every word shoemoney says.

John Chow posts 3 times a day, it's like digg always new content some is crap some isnt, but at least when ur at work its something new to read.

Aint that the goddamn truth.

I don't bother updating my blog for that reason... and also because I'm just a lazy fuck. But really, as every month passes I can't stand newbies more and more. I know there is a HUGE market for them. They are naive. They will buy just about anything you throw at them, and if god forbid they actually question something, they will let it bug them for a week and then buy it even when they know damn well it's a piece of shit. The really sick part is that even on here, in that stupid free ebook thread we have here, people are STILL requesting certain ebooks that we had found and gave the links away for free and everyone said it was a piece of shit garbage... people are STILL requesting it. Hahaha... fucking newbies man. They only seem to learn AFTER they spend thousands of dollars and get nothing but disappointment in the end. I'll just never understand it. Then they come here and are finally ready to learn... but you know what? Fuck em! I want to get rid of newbies here at WF soooooooo badly, but the majority rule is against me, so I can't :( -- But we can make it tougher for them to find us (hence the reason we purposely dropped our SE rankings for newbie friendly terms and kept the medium-advanced terms)

John Chow is not a bad guy. Seriously. I've known him for 3-4 years now, and he's actually a really nice guy and he knows his shit when it comes to technology and anything to do with the CES convention or Corvettes heh. But for affiliate marketing, ehhhhh...
