Why do you guys hate eBooks?

I see the general opinion is that Internet Marketting ebooks are trash, which is understandable as a lot are.

However i was speaking about eBooks/guides/courses whatever more proudly to niche's where there are ebooks that are popular (particularly the dating niche) which is a competitive market to get into but as mentioned above, sport, health and fitness, weight loss, illness, anxiety, ailments like excess sweating are all popular niches that i would of thought people buy shit

Hey mrey86, I applaud your efforts. The important thing to do first is to test out your potential markets. Don't limit yourself to one forum...search around, get lots of opinions, and see where the market for your niche lies.

I would love a book that could tell me how to stop sweating, or stop anxiety attacks, etc. The important thing to remember is that you have to "convince" the buyer. It's all in your sales technique really.

You may find you will very much quickly become the next CB vendor guru. GL :D

KB: Your avatar is as frightening, as it is compelling - for some reason I always want to look away, but I just can't.

I have about every respectable copywriting/marketing book out there. If it wasn't for things I've learned from guys like Gary Halbert, John Carlton, Dan Kennedy... I wouldn't know how to make a living the way I do.

Hear, hear! I've invested massively in the same stuff. I recommend most follow suit.

Hate on E-books all you want, but I have one that brings me in auto-moniez all day long. Aside from a few annoying support e-mails, it's a great part of any business when done correctly.

I wrote an ebook for a very small niche. I used to average 2-3 sales a day, now its more like 2-3 a week. $29 a pop, mostly seo traffic - I didnt touch the site for years now.
If you're going to do it, either niche out; or create something completely new.

yeah these guys have said it all. there are some terrible ebooks but I have come across some real gems. in general though they're stupid.

mrey, my 2 cents -- don't seek anyone's approval for your ideas...

... maybe it will work out, maybe it won't...

... but shit dude -- at least you fucking ran with. And most people have to fail a lot before they suceed, so even if its not profitable, even if it is total crap, it will be a part of Your education -- a stepping stone for You to build on.

Just go for it. And shit -- maybe it'll be a homerun.

I don't like ebooks. However, I love guides, reports, and courses. So do most of internet marketers. If you're selling your own, make sure you don't call it an ebook - it's social suicide.

I don't think you should corcern yourself to much with whether or not other marketers hate ebooks but instead concentrate on how much you can make with them.

Those making thousands of dollars of profits a day with ebooks aren't going to stop promoting or making them just because other marketers don't like them.

Does anyone know of a thread that talks about publishing through kindle (amazon) ... what that involves? cost, time, etc...

Appreciate it

Then after they get it, say it's rehashed crap, just like most other ebooks, and proceed to recommend the damned thing. I don't know what the fuck's going on in the ebook distribution world, but it's hilarious to read the entrepreneurial threads, such as the one's I linked to above.

Need a Quick Couple of Hundred Bucks?

LOL that's written by Vadym. He posts on here. He's actually a brilliant copywriter even though that ebook is just fluffed up bullshit.

ebooks suck because they generally aren't good enough material to be covered by a any reputable publisher.

I've tried reading (skimming) 2-3 ebooks and none had any substance

I think most of us who have achieved any level of success online have done so without ebooks or courses but rather through a combination of learning via action, networking, forums, and many google searches.

When someone comes along with a cheesy course promising success it is so inconsistent with what most of us have actually done to achieve success it is laughable. I personally also hold 'gurus' to a high degree of skepticism because I wonder why they're teaching rather than doing. Some guys do legitimately get burnt out or just truly enjoy teaching but differentiating these guys from the fakes can be difficult.

I can understand how as a newbie without any direction it is easy to think that an ebook or video course would provide the needed focus to succeed, but in reality it is often just a form of procrastination and typically leads to analysis paralysis.

Just curious....What happens when an ebook is available as a bizopp offer via a network?
