Why so many Viruses on this board???

Hi...I am new to this board. No...not a "Troll". I'm a real person, with a problem. I have recently clicked on 2 links in this board and both times a video of some pop star from the 80's comes up and the window starts popping all over my screen. I had to shut off my computer to make it stop. The problem is that it is a virus... and it pops up after an hour of restarting my computer. So, how can I get rid of this thing?? I will admit, it's kind of funny....but it's not now. Can someone help me figure out how to delete the darn thing off my computer? Thanks & God Bless!
