I'm pretty ignorant as far as who isn't getting along with who with this whole thing. I've had both sides try to explain it to me but i have this little antidrama talk trigger in my brain that tells me how to respond and when to nod my head without actually hearing anything.
However I am participating in both forums. The way i see it is, I'm completely loyal to both and i like them very much. First one to tell me I'm not free to post on the other will be the one I quit. So for me its not a matter of loyalty. Both sides have something i like.
The other forum - Its private and frankly it is bad fucking ass (unnecessary swearing). I'm more comfortable contributing stuff I would normally never share, because lerch is doing an excellent job of weeding out the trash, leechers and only bringing in the best that are heavily into contributing. It has a nice atmosphere. People feel compelled to contribute and share. Something a public or paid forum could never pull off successfully.
Wickedfire - This is the only forum or even chatroom i've ever actually felt comfortable on. I can swear, I can talk shit without someone crying or getting upset and getting myself banned. There are some awesome people here who crack me up on a daily basis. On other forums even though they are all mature and civil with each other have you ever noticed that its impossible to ask a normal question. If your asking what is google you'll get a dozen very mature responses but if you ask something like a simple mysql question everyone jumps your shit and calls you retarded for asking such a dumb question. It's like com'n its mysql for fuck sake! Is there such thing as a mysql problem that doesn't have an extremely simple fuckin solution?
It's just retarded and I hate it. Every question i've ever asked on wickedfire has been answered quickly then its answered in an entertaining way, then its answered in a pornographic way, then its answered in a "one time i.." way. Then its answered in a way that involves a bunch of gay jokes. Some interpret that as a thread going off topic and therefore becoming useless. I see it as a good thing. Its like dinner AND a show.
So i'm personally going to continue posting on both forums because they both fullfill a need i have in my career and personality. At least until everyone on Wickedfire decides to start becoming a bunch of mature faggots like every other AFF forum, or until leerches forum decides they want to become cool and popular and start allowing every douche bag in.
