And you're not bothered about the source of the traffic as long as it's not email spam? Also, give us a heads-up on some of the niches... cheers!

As long as it's not fraudulent, illegal or email/IM spam, I could care less how you get the sale. Even if you go on the street and beg people to join..

i'm going to do that. be a beggar and have a printout of the affiliate deal=D and tell them i dont need money i just need them to sign up for the deal. Heck i might even throw in some singing and juggling...oh yeah and being blind!

Are you on crack?

If anyone is interested, I am selling gold bars for $1, you have to fill out about 30 incentivized offers and get 25 of your closest friends, and 25 of their friends additionally have to complete 30 offers. Then I sell you a gold bar for $1 ;)

Sorry man, not interested. We want to keep everything in the program owned by us, no one else. Even if you were selling gold bars for a buck I wouldn't put it into the system.

That's just how it works.

Sounds pretty cool Jon. Good luck! Are you going to have a super-affiliate program? Maybe I could try to bring some guys in.

Also, instead of weekly payments or whatever...can we be payed in +rep? :)

If you want to take rep points instead of cash, be my guest.

If your pals can push volume, I'll hike them up on payout amounts. But I won't be giving it out until I see some proof.

I think I'll leave the rep for someone else, but what about a referral program? Is that in the works as well?

I would go post on the suggestion forum 5%-10% for referrals, but I'm too lazy. What do you think?

Yah, already got it covered.. I think it will actually be 3 levels deep.

Sounds interesting...

Be careful with the weekly payouts. Some networks have been burned doing this. What are your chargeback/refund terms?

For instance, let's say you pay each Friday. On Thursday an affiliate has 10 friends sign-up. The next day the affiliate is paypal'd the commission. The same day each 10 customers can request a refund and you are out of the cash. With PayPal especially, it's extreamly difficult to reverse a transaction and takes ages.

On the flip side your refund policy may be that there are no refunds. That would solve that issue, but you may have a small percent of disgruntled consumers (which you can always except anyhow.)

Well that's it.. probably no refunds on the customer's end. Also, for affiliates we are probably going to set up some type of trust scale, where they must send X amount of sales before they qualify for weekly payouts.

On top of which, I already told my lawyer to draft the following into the T&C, that if any affiliate is caught spamming or scamming (fraudulent activity), their information will be posted on a public black list, and I'll be sharing that information with other networks. That should get them to rethink how worth it they think it is to scam me for $100 or so.

Good luck Jon, I'm sure you'll have plenty of people from WickedFire wanting to help this become a success.
