Okay, I'll admit it, the Zippos were not the best of ideas. Looking at ZippoPPD.com the prices seemed reasonable enough, but after talking with a rep and getting everything quoted, the price shot way the fuck up. Then to top it off, I didn't do enough market research to determine if they would be a product WickedFire members would really want.

So, back to the drawing board....

Everyone wants different stuff so why don't you just set up a store at cafepress? No investment, no running around, no price shooting through the roof.

Just put every-fucking-thing they have in your store and let anyone who wants anything with the WF logo on it buy it. Seems like a no-brainer to me but then, since I often misplace my brain, everything seems like a no-brainer sometimes.

Later, if you find a deal on something not availabe from CP, then go to the trouble of getting a limited supply. At least this way, you'll have something to asuage the maddened crowd.
 
I'm kind of leaning towards the shot glass idea. They are relatively inexpensive and people keep bringing them up over and over. Almost like there's drinkers reading WF. ;)
 
I need a new mousepad..... Or a money clip...... or a wine glass.........

Something with a motivational phrase on it, and the logo, that people can put in their home offices and stare at.

Mouse pads, calendars, plaque with dollarsigns, whatever...

mouse pads are classic...id def take a few shots from a WF shot glass...i like zip up hoodies a lot...a WF thong for my g/f would be kinda cool too

Get lighters just get the BIC ones with the wickedfire logo on them, you can get those made up for like $1 a piece. Zip up hoodies, tshirts, travel mugs, coffee mugs, frosted pub glasses

If you get all that shit I'll buy a case of lighters and a case of those frosted pub glasses, some hoodies and some shirts.

T-shirts, hooded sweatshirts, and maybe mousepads is as far as the branding of this site will go.

For all of you saying "thongs and shotglasses!" Get real.

This is a money making oriented site, it's not something that you can just share with the general public. I think there's a stigma with non-entrepreneurs being involved in a "money making" type operation.

The impression the general public has of sites like these would be comparable to going on a first date with a girl and being like, "I used to be broke, homeless, and living next to a crackhouse until these motivational tapes and they too can change your life for only 49.95!!!"

Ofcourse WF is nothing like that, but it is what outsiders intially view a site like this as. It's just not something you go around telling everyone about. People in the know, know, but people who don't know just assume you're some kind of cheesy flake trying to make an easy buck.
