Wickedfire: No More Useful Posts

My take on why WF isn't the treasure trove of information it once was.

Many of the respected members from back in the aff marketing heyday have since moved on from WF.

The senior members that remain have gotten tired of answering nonsensical noob questions on a daily basis. However, the noobs that do ask decent questions, and show a willingness to do their own work can still glean some knowledge from the WF tribal elders.

Nobody wants to be "outing" these days.

SEO is dead

PPC is dead

CEOSam ruined it for everyone. (this is why we can't have nice things, like ham & waffles on paper plates)

Just a suggestion. Instead of hundreds of users expecting from power users to share methods worth thousands, maybe share something yourself? I see always people complaint "no more useful posts" - but when was the last time you have posted?

wasn't there a podcast on here a few days ago about how to set up fake credit cards and fake accounts for advertising via cloaking?

There hasn't been anything useful, productive, helpful posted on here in months. The most popular member is Suddenly_Ass. Has the forum gone downhill or what.

Blame Google for creating a chilling environment for webmasters.

I do agree the owner of this forum lost interest in promoting it cause of better opportunities.

As far as SEO tips that would help rank your sites, same principles can be found at other forums.

With Google spies everywhere, people are not as generous as compared to past years.

Also ranking perimeters cannot be easily ascertained. What works for your site might be toxic for another.

I find nuggets here almost daily. It's all about perspective. People don't give away the bank like they used to, so you have to sift through the garbage.

This being said, I've made a ton of connections from WF. Connections, which have made me a ton of money. That's half the game in my opinion.

tbh the game has changed a lot, even in the short time I've been learning (note: not here till faaar too late) although I was always skeptical about the whole PPC arbitrage/SEO spamming techniques even back when they were legitimate earners. (Still skeptical about affiliate marketing co's generally. Skimming, negative cashflow, etc.)

I agree with the above though, I pick up nuggets here every day and I enjoy the shitposting, too.. Surely though OP, you're involved with the mastermind skype groups that go on..? From what I gathered shortly after registering here it was already the case that that's where all the real talk happens; so why the surprise? ;) Not that I blame you guys either way.. (FWIW - rapist or not - I've learnt a lot from your posts OP!)

The playing field has been leveled. You just have to work for it, like anything else. You don't need new WF guides and gurus.

All the information you could ever need is here. Just because it wasn't posted yesterday doesn't mean it still doesn't work. Y'all got shiny-object syndrome. Just get to work.

I'm here to catch that golden nugget cus the most knowledgeable guy on every fucking topic in this god damn fucking universe... posts here at WF... Kiopa_Matt.

How this thread is any better?

Anyway, I am here for creating friends/contacts that might help me in my future busniness life...

Looks like your monies are starving.

I took a method that CCarter put on here and combined it with some pieces of two other threads in Enlightened Members. That was a few months ago. Now I'm making more money with that than in my day job. The useful information is still there. You just have to use your head and be creative instead of being spoonfed every step of the way.

Forums have shelf lives. Especially forums centered around things that change constantly. This one has been around since June 2006. I'm sure it's in its death throes. You should be focusing on stacking cash anyway.

Plus, SirKonstantine, you can't write one lackluster guide about how to edit a Wikipedia page back in October and expect the rest of the board to follow suit. Other than that, you haven't contributed jack shit since you joined except for consistent STS spamming. I can say this, because I've done the same for five years.

Doesn't WF have a policy on no censorship? I was in the middle of listening to that! lol
