Wickedfire: No More Useful Posts

The main problem is that Wickedfire used to discuss how to use techniques (SEO, PPC, AFF) to grow a business. Now, these techniques are the business.

90% of wickedfire content these days is generated by someone selling services.

I'm no innocent, I used to slang Drip Feed Blasts.

What Wickedfire needs is actual businessmen discussing Internet Marketing tactics, not IM companies posting fluff to plug their IM product.

I owe all my current success to Wickedfire, so not complaining.

The BST section took some big hits in the last couple of years. I don't know about other users, but I stopped visiting WF as often once all the diverse and unique sales threads went down.

Two years ago if you visited any of the BST subforums all the threads were active within the last 24 hours. Now, some of the subforums haven't been posted to more than twice in the last week and even the most popular subforum (links/seo) is barely busy.

Prices have also been steadily going up compared to the same quality of service from providers on other forums, likely since sellers need to make up for the $120+ cost of creating a thread.

Of course, there also used to be a lot of spam and otherwise crap in the BST before WF started charging sellers, so take the good with the bad I guess.

edit: btw there are still some really cool services in BST, particularly in links/seo section, I just meant to point out there's a lot less of it nowadays.

Was having this discussion with some older/former posters at ASW this week, and a lot of guys mentioned the same thing. The problem around here is, the idiots don't get shouted down nearly as much as they could. Everyone that fancies themselves some witty troll (and this includes a lot of older guys with thousands of posts) spends more time making stupid personal attacks or weak efforts at trolling, so that the people who have contributed in the past finally throw up their hands and say "meh, its not worth it, I post something helpful, and 30% of the thread responses will be off-topic, stupid attempts at trolling".

The day the forum as a whole starts saying "we're not going to feed the trolls, in fact, they are going to be ignored, then tossed out" is when it will get better again.

and you guys with multiple accounts, you are part of the problem. If you can't man-up and post your comment from your "main" account, maybe it just doesn't need to be posted.

Cuz everyone is Shooting the Shit ;-)

In Nick's defense, he only posts from one account at a time. I agree though, having a sock puppet account to passively aggressively take a shit on someone because you don't want the blowback on your real account (that you're probably using to make money and act "professional" with) is some pansy ass behavior.

Well, was just a suggestion... instead of complaining about no useful info being posted, maybe OP should post some useful info.

Otherwise, bit hypocritical, no?

yeah i know i just wanted to post something random. havent gotten likes in a while and my self worth is starting to drop;.
