Windows 10... Microsoft goes back to it's roots.

My main workstation refuses to update. I had nothing but problems with it trying to update from 8 to 8.1 previously too, to the point I had to buy an 8.1 license and do a clean install. Not sure what the problem is. It's not old, and it's a beast of a machine, but there's something about the hardware configuration that these updates don't like. I'm not too keen to be doing a clean install right now and getting all my programs reinstalled, so unless I can figure out what the issue is, I'll be on 8.1 for awhile.

I did do my laptop though, and it updated fine. I don't use it for much other than for viewing web work and for DJing, but I haven't had any crashes or other problems yet (touch wood). I'll do the home theater box this week as well.

Marketeers being early adopters of MS software? Son I'm disappoint.

The only valid excuse is that it is related to your advertising tests/campaigns.

Upgraded and it looks steady.

The only issue I observed is while shutting down screen goes black and it looks like laptop is off but in real its not.

Update went smooth, took around 30-45 min to do a fresh install. So far I dig it, but can't really give it's paces as I don't use Windows for most of my work. Will probably game a bit on it tonight.

Normally I wouldn't update this early, but I have a buddy who did it already and he said he didn't notice anything broken with it. I haven't seen any tech articles complaining of major issues either. So figured why the fuck not.

For all you that have already updated to 10, how are you finding your software compatabilities holding up?

All good here. I mostly use vbox + vagrant + node + other stuff for work and it all works fine.

You're going to have to get the latest vbox build for it to work with win 10. And update vagrant as well.
