One thing I've been noticing is that many of the hero to zero sites I've seen dropping out of the serps in my niche have had lopsided citation/trust scores in majestic seo.

Ie a site will have a citation score of 40 with a trust score of 15...

Any site I see with a low trust score, that is on the front page of my serps, I don't expect it to hold its position for too long.

The sites with high trust and authority, and pages ranking on sites like squidoo, youtube, etc, those seem to really stick around and are pretty solid in the serps.

... is there a rule against posting a link to PM yourself about services? I'm too lazy to look, but that seems a bit silly.

Now starting a thread in STS for this purpose would be a bit different, and I'd agree that was too self-serving. You can neg rep the guy for his self-promotion if you dislike it that much, or report the post and let the mods decide.

Now the reason I didn't report it to a mod is I don't think Zsaleem SHOULD be banned- I think he deserves a pass based on the quality of his membership. I think he's an asset to the community, but I gotta call fucktard when I see it. He knows better than that. So do you.

just went through a friends site who got hit, seeing the same lack of trust or lopsided citation/trust for both his moneysite and 1st tier sites.

sites that got hit in last 2 days, post citation/trust metrics. go go go
 
I got some keywords hit but improved on keywords that had my domain text...kinda weird as it seems the EMD update helped

Both sites targeting same niche and keyword. Very similar to each other except site 1 had about 10 pieces of content vs just homepage on site 2. Site 2 was the "backup" site in case shit hit the fan, like it did.

Site 1 - Citation 32 Trust 19

Used: SGW + some other stuff I won't mention

Site 2 - Citation 24 Trust 12

Used SGW only

For site 1 the primary keyword dropped from #5 to bottom of page 3. 15+ other keywords dropped from top 20 to the 400s.

For site 2 it jumped to #6 from page 2 on the 29th (was that the emd update?) and it's chillin' there.

There's nothing really here to make sense of. I'm just posting this for people who like reading shit like this for the sake of trying to make sense of things. It's fun to look at and think about but in the end there's just a bunch of random thrown into these updates. One guy did this and got hit and another did the same thing and didn't get hit, etc etc, same old story.

And it looks all the more suspicious that your citation score is nearly twice as strong as your trust score. Not saying that these metrics are the be all end all, but I am seeing a pattern of sites with low trust and high citation having a tough time sticking around for very long.

It's an indication that your backlinks aren't high quality. Something to think about.

But ya, who really knows... I'm probably blowing this trust thing way out of proportion. Can't tell what the frick is going on these days really...
 
My site was getting 20-30 visits a day from google a few days ago and it's virtually dropped to 0.

I have been building this site up for almost 18 months and was finally making headway and my rankings were consistently increasing.

I had no effect from penguin or panda so I thought I was doing things right.

I haven't even been doing much link building over the last 3-4 months.

Fuckin Google!!

For the record, my site is PR2 and the Majestic SEO stats are:

Citation Flow - 38
Trust Flow - 37

I have no idea what those numbers mean, btw.

I'm just going to do nothing for now and hope that google has punished too many legitimate, authority sites and fixes shit up.

I'm probably naieve :)
