Need a bit of help here. I'm sure this thread will end WAY off topic as is the tradition, but I'm wanting to build a list of sites that sprung up using the WordpressMU release?
More the better. Anyone know of any?

I hacked the normal wordpress so that I could put up blogs with new config files and one install.. but MU I havent used.. I even wrote about it back in the day

What up Deli, I was thinking of a similar project for a video game forum I'm working on. Like adding WPMU so that users could create internal blogs. Don't know if my server could handle it right now.

Big question is I don't know how I would monetize this. Because I doubt people would appreciate me hosting ads on their blogs, internal or otherwise. Maybe just do it for the links? Just curious what u were thinking of MU for.

i've also started looking into a mu site but was wondering about how to make some cash..

To be honest I don't think most users would mind if you had an ad on there (b/c if it's targeted it seems like it would set itself apart from the rest of the blogs)...

Aside from that maybe like a random popunder which happens every so often.. I figure that i'll foot the cost for now and slowly gain traffic.. Later on I can figure out what I want to do with it.
