One of my clients bought a WP theme online. Everything was setup fine and working properly, until we started adding additional pages to the site. We noticed that the sidebar widget wasn't keeping the page specific content on the correct page whenever a new page was added to the site.
This is what another programmer said about the issue:
"the way all the widget areas for the pages are created is flawed. If you add a page, any page that comes after it alphabetically will have it's widget shifted up one. The widget code specifies a name but no ID. Wordpress will automatically create an ID like sidebar-17 and save your widgets using that. When you create a new page it changes all of those ID's."
We've tried contacting the theme owner but haven't received a response back yet.
I'd really appreciate if someone could fix this for me. We'd be happy to pay for your time.
Thanks.
