Heya heya,

Since I am involved heavily on the music side of things, I am developing a template and am going to set up different unofficial band sites. Here's the start of the first one, opinions on adsense placement/set up or anything else? (none of the nav links work yet)

http://mushroomheadmusic.com/

i like it! colors and layout go very well with the theme of the site, the ad placement looks ok to me also

great job man

You know it's against the TOS to make a site just for adsense? :party-smiley-004:

Just fucking around. It looks good, I really like the blending.

Thanks! I plan on making it informative too, tour dates, news, media section, forum, etc. so as to get people coming back to it. Should be interesting.

Actually I originally bought the domain because the band (or label) had went wiwth mushroomhead-music.com - so I grabbed the one without the dash and used it to forward to the official site while promoting a link to my metalages.com. I got a nice bit of traffic from it!

Personally I wouldn't spend too much time on the design. Instead get a relatively generic template that can be changed with CSS (I'm thinking mainly colors, background image) Then build as many unofficial band pages as you can -- as in 250+ may be even push 1000.

A more basic design should lend to better adsense integration. I would do horizontal ad unit, underneath that basic header image, left side adsense skyscraper, right side navigation with discography etc.

Also, I wouldn't limit it to metal. Head over to Last.fm and look at top band lists to get a quick glance at whose popular.

its like the movie SAW and Texas Chainsaw Massacre all mixed in one....das some fkn scary shit right there!!....other than that everything looks fine!! nice work BTW
