You should be OK as long as you don't install the worm onto your machine. If you're really concerned, just boot from a live CD when you do sensitive transactions.

Unless something has changed, Conficker was just sitting there dormant not collecting any info from anybody. They are concerned because it could be turned on at any time.

Is your virus software on and up to date? Is your windows update on and up to date? If so, then I wouldn't worry about it.

I doubt it collects any info... and even if it did it'd just be a keylogger probably... so just use the on screen keyboard for sensitive stuff.
