Young Swedish guy broadcasts suicide live on web

wow very surprised he did it semi-sitting down. Strong will power to not stand up! damn, i don't know what to feel.

I have seen beheadings before now so I'm kinda past the point where much will shock me, but this doesn't sit too well. It is a great shame that he felt he had to do this especially at such a young age, but the whole "broadcasting" thing is not cool; if his family members see that video they could be seriously messed up for a long time. Over the past month (here in the UK) these suicide websites have been making the news and you may have heard of the couple that started talking on one of those sites and then met up for the first time and a few hours later both committed suicide after having the car gassed out; strangely they had placed a note on the car window warning people not to open the doors due to the poison. There has been a few incidents like this recently... but why is that? You wonder if some of them are doing it simply for their 5 minutes of fame. It's pretty screwed up that LiveLeak (started by the Ogrish guys) have ads on that site and are no doubt rubbing their hands together when these kind of things happen.

To be honest, the beheadings made me squirm a lot more. It is kinda scary though how his face turned completely purple and then pale white as he passed, like his soul was escaping.

Regarding people who kill themselves though, I've known 3 people who have committed suicide and they all share this in common: They think they have it harder than anyone else. They think they are the ooooonly people in the world who have it so hard. Reality is that everybody has their own problems in life that they need to overcome.

Yes, Timmy. Your great grandfather fought in WWI, your grandfather in WWII. Your father fought valiantly in the Vietnam conflict. They were all hailed as heroes. Now, the time has finally come for you to honor your family's name by hanging yourself with CAT5 and posting it on a forum.

Garrett I agree with you 100% about the thought process behind suicidal people. When I went through my suicidal stage, that's the only thought I dwelled on, how hard MY life was, all these obstacles that nobody else had but ME. Then I realized what a conceited fucktard I was, guess not everyone reaches that realization unfortunately. It's all about perspective.

I've seen beheadings too and they've given me strange feelings, but they all came with resistance, usually a scream and gurggle. The way he so calmly kills himself is unsettling in its own unique way.

Really sad, poor guy. I've been through the lowest of the lows in my life with my mom passing away shortly after i turned 17 but man, suicide is not the option. I can empathize for how this will effect his family and friends, very saddening.

Anyone able to translate the swedish forum? Google translate doesn't like the URL

His first post:

I've decided to commit suicide through hanging myself.
I've tried strangling myself before to see how it feels.
Took some painkillers a couple of minutes ago (100mg Dextropropoxyphene, 1500mg paracetamol), just waiting for it to act.

I have my webcam on with a program that takes screenshots every other second and uploads it to a FTP-server.
Will post IP:Port and login details before i go through with it.

His last post:

alright lets do it

A couple of days earlier he asked his friends on FB if they had a rope so he could hang himself. One friend recommended using a network cable instead. And that's what he did.

Our younger generation today has it too easy. They're too soft, too socially detached. But your comment was right on. Kids of today think they have problems? Try living back in the age of our grandfathers.. drafted into war, Great Depression, breaking your back for a living, etc. That's the issue, there isnt enough to worry about for today's generation other than social bullshit and career competition.
